Description

The Mapeflex AC4 sealant from the company Mapei, in a 310ml cartridge, is used for sealing joints and cracks in indoor and outdoor areas. It consists of acrylic resins in an aqueous solution. It is a thixotropic paste that is easily applied to horizontal and vertical joints, creating a texture similar to putty for better adhesion to its surroundings. It has resistance to weather conditions, movement (up to 12.5%), high and low temperatures, dilute acids, and alkalines.

It can be used on cement boards, drywall, wood boards, or thermal insulation. It is applied to plaster, bricks, stones, concrete, etc. It can seal frames in windows and doors for thermal protection and to prevent leaks. It is not recommended for metals and underwater surfaces. It is applied with a standard silicone gun and has a consumption of approximately 3.1m per cartridge (with a cord diameter of 10mm).

It complies with standards EN 15651-1 (“Sealants for façades”) with a performance rating of F-EXT-INT. It has very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC), certified by Emicode EC1.
