The Mapeflex AC-P sealant from Mapei, in a 310ml cartridge, is used for sealing joints and cracks in indoor and outdoor areas. It incorporates white sand, offering a texture similar to plaster. It consists of acrylic resins in a water-based solution.
This paste is thixotropic, easily applied to horizontal and vertical joints, and has resistance to weather conditions, movement (up to 12.5%), high and low temperatures, as well as to dilute acids and alkalis. It is used on cement boards, drywall, wood boards or thermal insulation, as well as on plaster, bricks, stones, concrete, etc. It can seal frames in windows and doors for thermal protection and to prevent leaks. It is not recommended for metals and underwater surfaces.
It is applied with a classic silicone gun, and the consumption is approximately 3.1m per cartridge (with a bead diameter of 10mm).
It complies with EN 15651-1 standards (“Sealants for facades”) with performance rating FEXT-INT.
