it doesn't have the power I would expect... I'm thinking that maybe a cheaper, smaller model like the X10 or X20 might work better. I have 4 in a 4-level house and the signal is not distributed equally everywhere even though supposedly one gives to the next. they do self-checks and firmware upgrades

  • This review is about the packaging: Double Kit

Very good device and easy to use. In a house of about 80 square meters, built in the 70s, with the ZTE WIFI 6 CERTIFIED router located in the southern corner room, I was getting minimal speeds in the two northern rooms. After installing the Deco, one next to the router and the other in the hallway, the situation improved noticeably. On a 1gbps connection, mobile phones and laptops in the house reach over 600mbps in every corner of the apartment. However, the TV, which has Wifi 5, barely reaches 180mbps. For its price (€179.99), I expected it to perform a bit better, but the truth is there are 2-3 concrete walls between the router and the TV. I would recommend it.

This review is about the network version: v3.20

I use it both as a modem and as a router, which satisfies me because I didn't want the provider's modem.
I have fiber 500mbps, the range is good in a 47 sq.m. house.
I wouldn't recommend it for specialized use, i.e., I have set up a smart home and there are about 30 IoT devices, mobiles, tablets, PCs, PS5, etc. connected to it.
It often freezes and you need to do Optimization, which is an option in the Deco app.
Sometimes it disconnects some devices and the optimization doesn't always work from all devices.
In terms of speed, I expected more. However, since I stream from a MacBook to Apple TV, there is no lag at all, playback is smooth.
It's not a device you just plug in and forget about.
For connecting a few devices, about 5-6, it may be more functional.
Useless, 4 HomePod minis at a distance of 4m cannot be supported.
In the end, it's not worth the price, I want to believe there is a better and more stable product on the market.

I wanted to buy something like this for a while because the computer is about 15 steps from the router and was connected with power lines which of course have losses. I connected quickly and easily through the app and right now I'm getting about 470/500.

Well, I learned about the WIFI mesh from chat gpt. Fantastic... In my area, I have 100 mbps and I get that throughout the whole house... No dead spots or rooms without internet. 200 square meters house. With 2 devices. The third one is excessive. WIFI 6 has come out, 7 is out but for now, with such speeds that we have in our little Greece, it's not worth it for anyone to spend an additional 150-200 euros. Super easy installation, in 10 minutes you're playing, it's set up. It also updates by itself.

I give 5 stars because I received the v4.20 which has recently received a serious upgrade.
From v3.20 and onwards, it is AX5400 resulting in better speeds overall.

It connected as a satellite in a mesh with the main TP link BE 65 and works perfectly.
I have the 2.4Ghz activated only on the IOT network.
With an internet line of 500 Mbps, it provides up to 500 Mbps two rooms away.
The communication with other devices on the same network ranges from 900~980 Mbps.

VFM I don't know if it is at the price of €168. Version v3.20 only. I use it as a router behind the Zte H1600 with pppoe, for username and password the phone number with Cosmote to send it to you, and you can manage the network quite easily for the average user. HomeShield that it has with subscription I haven't tried so there will be an update.

For the average user, it is good if they want something more than just a simple Access Point or a Router. The beam forming is excellent and the difference is noticeable, as well as the mesh.

For the user who wants something more and intends to use it as an extension of a more advanced network, they should look for something else. This product does not suffice. The problem is that it was designed to operate as a standalone system, and this creates issues. A characteristic example is that you cannot set as many SSIDs as you want, and you only have 3 options: the regular, the guest, and the IoT. The worst part is that you cannot do VLAN tagging, so from a security standpoint, it simply lacks!

Its price, on sale, at €170 was good. At the usual price of €220, there are other options, perhaps even better, depending on the intended use.

After 3 years with DECO M4 (I have also reviewed this excellent model), I decided to switch to WiFi 6, since I now have a WiFi 6 connection and WiFi 6 devices.

Positives: 100% signal throughout the 110sqm house, and it even reaches the street from the 1st floor. Stable connection. Excellent speed, 92% throughout the house. Excellent response from the processor. Beautiful and discreet.

    Negatives: none.

So it is an excellent model, to which I have connected 45 devices, small and large, which works like a digital clock!

28/8/24, unfortunately they broke and do not connect to each other. I will update on the handling by TP Link.

5/9/24, they recognized the fault and I will go to get a credit. One star for the X60, and 5 for TP Link, because they acknowledged the failure and acted like a great company.

It is worth its money and more! Incredible speeds! I bought the kit with the two, and one became a modem on Starlink, and the second became a Mesh via WiFi for now. It covers the whole house; previously, I needed 3 powerline adapters which had many interruptions due to configuration issues. With the 2, I have signal everywhere; you just need to find the right spot for them to communicate with each other through the Mesh network. After that, you can forget about them; the devices automatically switch connections depending on which one is closer, resulting in always having 5 bars of signal everywhere!!! I will come back as soon as I set up the ethernet backhaul.

Simply fantastic, you just set it up and forget about it, you never have to deal with the signal again, you can easily change the WI FI frequency if it's congested, you can easily control the signal, it has protection against malicious software, you don't have to change the repeater if you move from room to room. It's fast. It's expensive but worth every euro. Finally, I can easily watch Netflix without having to restart the router anymore and without signal interruptions.

It exceeded my expectations in terms of speed and coverage. I installed it on the second floor of my apartment using a 25-meter UTP cable. With a 500Mbps connection, I get 500Mbps download and upload speeds.

  • it doesn't have the power I would expect... I'm thinking that maybe a cheaper, smaller model like the X10 or X20 might work better. I have 4 in a 4-level house and the signal is not distributed equally everywhere even though supposedly one gives to the next. they do self-checks and firmware upgrades

  • Very good device and easy to use.

  • I use it both as a modem and as a router, which satisfies me because I didn't want the provider's modem.

  • I wanted to buy something like this for a while because the computer is about 15 steps from the router and was connected with power lines which of course have losses. I connected quickly and easily through the app and right now I'm getting about 470/500.
