Description

Description

The slow watering spout is a Greek-made system that consists of:

  • The base that fits onto commercial plastic bottles (except for Crete water bottles).
  • The elongated cylindrical part where the water runs and is stored.
  • The wick located at the end of the system.

How to use it:

  1. Water the pot well.
  2. Make a hole in the soil near the plant's root.
  3. Screw the system onto the mouth of the bottle.
  4. With a pin, make 2-3 holes at the bottom of the bottle.
  5. Place the spout into the soil.

In large pots (e.g. planters), two pieces can be placed. Additionally, the bottom of the bottle can be cut off for permanent use, simply refilling with water every 5-6 days. It can also be used with a mixture of water and liquid fertilizer to strengthen the root system. This automatic watering system (drop to drop) can keep plants alive for up to 15 days.

Well-designed invention, it has nothing to do with the other plastic funnels on the market that do nothing. How quickly the water runs out also depends on the condition of the soil (old or newly loosened); in one pot it finished in 4 days, in another in 6. I remove one star because I thought it would last 10-15 days but it only lasts up to a week max. I recommend them.
