• Proper position: The top of the cane should reach the wrist when standing upright. The elbow should be slightly bent.
• Walking: When walking, the cane and the injured leg should touch the ground at the same time.
• Stairs: To go up, support yourself on the good leg and hold the cane on the opposite side. To go down, place the cane on the step first.
• Space arrangement: Remove rugs and cables, avoid wet floors and anything else that may cause a fall.
