Ammura is the name of the new estate of the Tommasi family in Etna, located in Contrada Alboretto – Chiuse del Signore, in the municipality of Linguaglossa, covering 15 hectares. It is situated at an altitude of 570 meters above sea level, in the heart of the Etna Natural Park, offering a stunning landscape where the breath of the mountain blends with the sea breeze.
Ammura Etna Bianco comes from the Carricante variety, which is an ancient indigenous grape variety of Etna and a true symbol of the traditional viticulture of the area. Until the 1950s, it was the most widespread white grape variety in the province of Catania. Its name reflects the plant's ability to "load" the vine with abundant clusters. This variety has particularly thrived on the eastern slopes of Etna.
