The Levenhuk DTX 800 LCD is a professional digital microscope designed for use in microelectronics, biology, medicine, forensics, and materials science. The microscope allows comfortable and detailed observation of small organic samples, tiny mechanical components, plant parts, insects, and a wide range of other objects. The basic magnification of the microscope ranges from 20x to 300x, but with the help of digital zoom, it can be increased up to 1500x.

A 4MP digital camera with a sensitive CMOS sensor produces high-quality images. The user sees a bright, clear, and highly detailed image on a 7-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1024x600 px. This setup ensures comfortable viewing without eye or neck strain, which is common with conventional microscopes. The camera can also be used to record photos and videos with multiple resolution options. Photos can be taken at 3MP or 2MP, with interpolation available for 16MP, 12MP, 10MP, 8MP, or 5MP. Videos are recorded in 1440p at 30 fps.

The microscope features USB and HDMI interfaces. The USB connection is intended for data transfer to a computer and use with the PortableCapture Plus software. The HDMI connection provides output to an external monitor or TV.

The bright LED illumination with adjustable intensity and the polarizing filter enhance the capabilities of the microscope. The polarizing filter eliminates reflections from scattered light, which is especially useful when observing objects with shiny surfaces such as metals, gemstones, and jewelry. Rotating the polarizing filter ring by 90° activates the polarization effect. The focusing mechanism is manual, with a range of 5–70 mm.

The included software allows for measuring objects (line, radius, diameter, angle based on three points) and adding drawings and notes to images.

The Levenhuk DTX 800 LCD microscope is powered by a built-in 2500 mAh lithium battery. A full charge lasts 4.5 hours. After that, the microscope provides 2 hours of continuous use. A charging adapter is included.
