From where does the necessity arise for the joint examination of (socio/text) linguistics with literature in structured realism? This question serves as the starting point for the present study.
The socio-cultural and ideological changes, the dominance of personal and often undocumented personal opinions, the populist tendencies in every aspect of life, with a prevailing presence in the production of absurd literature, necessitate the redefinition of literature. This redefinition could not be achieved without the contribution of language as the primary literary building material.
With this study, therefore, the term “grammar of structured realism” is proposed, which encompasses rules, conventions, and linguistic strategies based on theories of sociolinguistics, anthropology of language, text linguistics, (critical) discourse analysis, and literary criticism from Russian formalism to post-structuralism and Bakhtin's circle.
