Very lightweight fabric that allows comfortable movement, but it is not the highest quality you will find, and it is somewhat crinkled (bought in the beige color). The belt at the waist is essentially decorative, since the elastic is very tight at the waist. I would like it to be a little wider at the waist and to have a little more room in the crotch to be more comfortable. I found the pocket on the leg very useful; I put my phone there and it doesn't bother me at all. It has a good length, up above the knee, and doesn't get caught on branches (tested on a hike).
