The MaxCom MM835 flip phone has a physical keypad with large, comfortable keys, a large font size and a simple menu. It supports two SIM cards and is compatible with hearing aids (HAC). Its screen is in colour and does not support touch.
It includes a flashlight, alarm clock, calculator, calendar, hands-free mode, FM radio, audio playback, voice recording and MMS messaging. It connects via Bluetooth and has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
Users find it easy to use, especially suitable for older people, and praise its large screen and keys. They also mention clear call audio, loud ringtones, and a simple menu. However, several note that the battery drains quickly, while some disagree about how loud the sounds are.
It's great for older people!
Large screen and buttons.
When it goes in the pocket, nothing gets pressed to turn it off or lower the volume.
As for the battery, there is a setting you need to change in the charging so it can reach 100%, otherwise it runs out quickly without much use
A very beautiful and particularly elegant basic mobile phone, reminiscent of the glorious days of simple phones.
It has a large, easy-to-read, clear screen with nice colors on the inside and a smaller external one that shows the time/date, calls, and signal and battery level.
Its chassis has a very beautiful color combination, with red-silver-black on the outside and silver-black on the inside; it gives off a premium and sturdy feel in the hand, but I feel that it can slip very easily. Fortunately, there is a notch at the edge for a strap, so that somewhat saves the situation.
It takes 2 SIM cards, but the SIM slots needed a little more attention because they catch the cards and do not let them come out as easily as they should; its camera is a simple VGA, it charges via USB-C, takes a Micro SD card up to 32GB, has a classic 3.5mm headphone jack, the menu translation could be a little better since some things have unnecessarily remained in English, and its buttons, although quite large, do not protrude from the chassis, so it is very easy to press the wrong button instead of another, and of course it does not have an internet connection. Finally, its battery could be better, as it lasts only a few days, almost a week, if I am not mistaken.
Among the very positive points are the radio that works even without a cable and the ability to play music in MP3.
In summary, it loses 1 star because of the chassis that slips quite a bit, the poorly designed SIM slots, the shortcomings in the Greek translation, and the short battery life, and I believe that among the simple phones I have seen so far, this one offers the most at a reasonable price and is closer to the button phones that were released from 2001 to 2010.
The problem with this particular phone is that it discharges quickly, we're talking about less than 24 hours..
A very decent device for elderly people, with loud ringtones and good battery life. I bought it for my mother and I will probably buy it for my father as well.
On the positive side are the large screens inside and out. Easy to use by the elderly. Very good price. Nothing special as a device.
Very good phone. Excellent call and speaker sound, large internal screen, loud ringtones, large buttons and font.
Unfortunately, however, its battery barely lasts one day.
