Description

A compact energy meter with flat terminals designed to monitor either a three-phase system or three independent single-phase circuits. It seamlessly integrates into smart home systems or commercial systems, providing accurate, real-time data for optimizing energy efficiency.

Main Features:

  • Measurement of 4 quadrants.
  • Multiple connection types: three-phase or single-phase installations.
  • Measurement through built-in current transformers.
  • Phase sequence error detection (optional).
  • No load limit.
  • Visual pulse indication of energy consumption.
  • Real-time clock: stored data maintains correct time records even if the internet connection is interrupted.
  • Data logging: up to 7 days of data stored on the device for later retrieval.
  • Accuracy Class B (IEC 62053-21).
  • Photovoltaic ready.

Device Specifications:

  • Name: Shelly 3EM-63W Gen3.
  • Model: S3EM-003CXCEU63.
  • Device SID: Shelly3EM6G3-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
  • BLE model ID: 0x1026.

Short Description:

The Shelly 3EM-63 Gen3 is a compact energy meter designed to monitor either a three-phase system or three independent single-phase circuits. It can operate autonomously on a local Wi-Fi network or can also function through MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket services. All incoming connections support TLS.

The device reports accumulated energy as well as instantaneous voltage, current, active and apparent power per phase in real time. It stores data in non-volatile memory that can be retrieved for up to 7 days at 1-minute intervals. The device has a real-time clock to keep accurate time if the connection to an SNTP server is lost.

The device can be accessed, configured, and monitored remotely by the user, and it can access and communicate with an automation system, provided they are on the same network infrastructure. The device features a built-in web interface that can be used for monitoring and controlling the device, as well as adjusting its settings.

Main Features:

  • Measurement of 4 quadrants.
  • On-MCB installation: above 11 or below the circuit breaker.
  • Multiple connection types: three-phase or single-phase installations.
  • Random current non-contact measurements via current transformers.
  • Phase sequence error detection (optional).
  • No minimum load limit.

After extensive research, I ended up with this power meter that helps monitor consumption per phase. Obviously, it requires an electrician to be installed in the panel and it is for a three-phase installation. It has a mobile app that connects via WiFi. I have connected it with Home Assistant for better and more comprehensive management of the logs it produces.
