Description
A Quality Creative Ally
The Nikon Z5 II enhances its predecessor with faster processing, improved autofocus with subject recognition, and top performance in low-light conditions. With a new custom color preset selection button, a bright viewfinder, and easy sharing options, it offers a meaningful upgrade for those seeking a full-frame image.
FX 24.5MP Sensor & EXPEED 7 Image Processor
The 24.5MP BSI CMOS full-frame (FX-format) sensor combines with the EXPEED 7 image processor to deliver a versatile blend of high sensitivity, detailed image quality, fast autofocus with artificial intelligence, and continuous full-resolution shooting of up to 30 frames per second. Its native ISO sensitivity of 100-64000 allows for operation in a wide range of lighting conditions, while it can be extended even further from ISO 50 to 204800 for extreme lighting scenarios. The combination of resolution and sensor size contributes to clean image quality, smooth color transitions, and low noise across the sensitivity range.
Reliable Autofocus
With algorithms inherited from the Z9 and deep learning technology, the Nikon Z5 II incorporates advanced Subject Detection for nine different types, including people, animals, bicycles, airplanes, and more. It also features a Bird Detection mode, providing high accuracy in focusing. In Auto-Area AF mode, the camera automatically detects the subject, focuses, and tracks it, ensuring clear and sharp shots even when the subject is moving within the frame.
Pre-Release Capture
The EXPEED 7 processor also enables the Pre-Release Capture feature, helping you never miss the "moment." The camera starts capturing burst shots at up to 30 frames per second up to one second before you fully press the shutter button. As soon as you press it halfway, the camera begins recording and automatically saves the frames when fully pressed — ideal for unpredictable or quick action moments.
UHD 4K Video Recording
The Nikon Z5 II now supports UHD 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second and Full HD at up to 120 frames per second, with an increased recording time limit of up to two hours. It also includes a video timer, built-in Electronic Vibration Reduction, and the ability to save files either to the camera's memory cards or to an external recorder via HDMI. The time-lapse creation feature is built-in and allows for the production of final UHD 4K video directly from the camera.
The Z5 II also includes a Product Review mode and is compatible with UAC/UAV for live streaming via the web. Additionally, it supports 10-bit internal video recording with the Nikon N-Log LUT profile, as well as four new RED LUTs for more flexible color grading.
Sensor-Shift VR Stabilization
The Z5 II incorporates a 5-axis Vibration Reduction (VR) mechanism with sensor-shift, offering stabilization of up to 5 stops regardless of the lens used. With compatible lenses, stabilization can reach up to 7.5 stops. For video needs, there is also electronic stabilization that helps in capturing steady shots even handheld.
Color Control for Creators
Nikon has added a dedicated Picture Control button on the top of the Z5 II, allowing instant access to 31 built-in color profiles — even when in Auto mode.

Color Control for Creators
Nikon has added a dedicated Picture Control button on the top of the Z5 II, allowing instant access to the 31 built-in color profiles — even when you are in Auto mode.
The color profiles can now be displayed directly on the LCD screen, allowing you to see changes in color rendering in real time as you create.
Additionally, through the Nikon Imaging Cloud, “Creator Recipes” are available — special profiles and settings created by other Nikon photographers. You can download and integrate them alongside your existing presets, for even more creative inspiration and flexibility.
Body Design & Connectivity
The large 3.2” LCD screen with 2.1 million dots offers double brightness for clear and vivid image display and use in Live View. The tilting touchscreen allows for more intuitive control, easy navigation, and parameter adjustment. The upgraded touch now supports Touch FN functionality, allowing you to select the focus point with a simple touch.
The ultra-bright 3.69-million-dot electronic viewfinder provides comfortable and clear eye-level viewing.
Dual SD card slots, both compatible with the UHS-II protocol for high-speed photo and video storage.
The Warm Display Colors function reduces screen brightness by changing it from white to red, ideal for night shooting without affecting night vision. The Starlight View Mode offers a clear image even in almost complete darkness — perfect for astrophotography.
The headphone jack also serves as a port for the Nikon MC-DC3 remote control, while the USB-C port supports in-camera charging and power supply during use. At the same time, a micro-HDMI port provides the option for external recording and live view.
Built-in SnapBridge connectivity for instant transfer of low-resolution images and the ability for remote shooting. Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and Wi-Fi allow connection to a smartphone for remote shutter control and Live View directly from your mobile device.
The rechargeable EN-EL15c battery offers approximately 380 shots per charge, while the camera supports USB charging even during use.
Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S Lens
The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens covers a useful range of focal lengths, from wide-angle to portrait, offering a versatile zoom lens for various shots. The constant maximum aperture of f/4 provides consistent exposure throughout the zoom range, while also allowing the lens to be more compact and lightweight compared to f/2.8 zoom lenses. In its optical design, a unique aspherical extra-low dispersion element, combined with three additional aspherical elements, are used to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions across the zoom range, ensuring high image sharpness and clarity. Additionally, Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coating help control reflections and ghosting, offering better contrast and color performance in bright and high-contrast lighting conditions.
The lens is equipped with a stepping motor, which provides fast, quiet, and accurate autofocus performance, while allowing full manual focus adjustment, making it suitable for both photography and video. The lens features a programmable control ring, which can be set for easy control of a variety of camera and exposure settings. It also has a buttonless retractable body design, achieving a more compact form when not in use.
