I have been using them for months on hikes, rocks, dirt, snow, rain, etc., except for river crossings, and they are excellent and protect the toes in the front satisfactorily. I have nothing negative to say about the boots; they have been worth the money.

If you pick the shoe size by cm, it's consistent with other brands (the EU size numbers may be different though).
For example Salomon 45.33 and ASICS 45 are both recommended for 28.5 cm feet and fit me equally well.
