Description

The mediven thrombexin 18 socks are indicated for both preoperative and postoperative conditions from venous and pulmonary thrombosis as well as for bedridden patients.

The MEDIVEN thigh-high anti-thrombosis socks are very well stabilized with the integrated silicone they have at their ends and have an opening below the toes.

Compression:

  • 18-21 mmHg – class I (mild/clinical compression) according to international standards, ideal for anti-thrombotic use.

Material:

  • Composition: ~82% polyamide, 18% elastane (elastic, breathable fabric).

  • Latex-free to avoid allergic reactions.

Design & comfort:

  • Open hole under the toes for easy circulation monitoring and better ventilation.

  • Reinforced, soft heel knit – comfortable fit and reduced pressure.

  • Silicone support band at the upper end – for a stable fit on the thigh without folding.

  • Colored heel indicator for correct placement.

Functional features:

  • Graduated pressure that helps venous return and prevents blood stasis and clots.

  • Breathable, hypoallergenic fabric with antibacterial action, reducing the likelihood of fungal infections without chemicals.

One of the most comfortable socks I have tried...correct sizes and elasticity. Also, they are slightly more transparent than the others, so you can more easily wear tights without them being too visible...the downside is that the elastic at the thigh stretches quickly, resulting in them slipping down

I bought them for my mother. They stay in place. On the label on the socks for washing instructions, 35C looks like 95C.
I think it is very important for a compression sock to cover the knee, especially if there is pain behind the knee. Pain behind the knee is quite common in people with venous insufficiency and is responsible for problems in walking. There, the lesser saphenous vein connects with the deep vein through a perforating vein (which pierces the superficial layer of the peritoneum). Usually, in the area behind the knee where the connection with the deep vein occurs, the first valves in the superficial veins start to deteriorate due to blood pressure, and then they deteriorate lower down (we have valves every 5-10 cm in the veins of the calf), leading to the formation of varicose veins.

After the total hip arthroplasty, they put on my wife (in an expensive private hospital) a pair of tight Rizomirio anti-thrombotic stockings, with the XL indication, and a no-name brand !!!.
I searched for it, found it at POH Medical (thank goodness for those people), took measurements and ordered a pair of Medivene Thrombexin 18. 1. The product does its job well and provides relief. 2. It remains in its size without overflowing! 3. It is a well-known and Made in Germany brand). I highly recommend it.

Maybe there was a material flaw in my socks. They don't stay in place at all.
