The high-fashion company FURLA was founded in 1927 in Bologna, Italy, by Aldo Furlanetto. It originally started as a wholesale fashion goods company and later, in 1955, opened its first retail store in Bologna, which is still in operation today.
In the 1970s, the company was taken over by the children of the family who launched the first collection of leather bags featuring the company logo. The bags became a hit, and FURLA continued to produce new products and expand its name both in Italy and abroad.
In the early 1990s, FURLA began opening stores in various countries around the world, such as Japan, the USA, Spain, and others. Currently, FURLA distributes its products in 63 countries with over 300 boutiques worldwide.
In 2012, the company opened its flagship store in Bangkok, Thailand, and began its expansion into Asia, starting the distribution of products in China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
