Review this product
  • Ease of installation
  • Range
  • Speed
  • Does it disconnect/freeze?
  • Value for money
  • Owner since early November 2025.

It delivers wifi speeds of 920mbps download and 460mbps upload (i.e., the provider's speed) on the 6GHz band (and also on 5GHz) with stability at a short distance from the access point (U7 Pro XG - wifi 7).

The MSI adapter is connected via its provided base to a USB 3.1 port on the PC.
Distance from the access point is 1 meter because, as is known, the 6GHz band does not have great range. Don't wonder why not use an ethernet cable then—it's a long family story.

Satisfactory stability in file uploads and downloads.
In speed tests (e.g., Ookla), it's good to try different servers because not all give the same results at gigabit speeds (this is also true with ethernet). For me, for example, Cosmote's servers usually give the best results.

Clearly better than the Asus USB-AX56 (which, of course, is wifi 6) that was not as stable (for gigabit), with large fluctuations in speeds both down and up under the same conditions, and also had some occasional disconnections, whereas this one has worked flawlessly and stably up to now.

Note that to take advantage of wifi 7 on the PC, you need Windows 11 (Windows 10 will only see the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, not the 6GHz) and, of course, a router or access point device, etc., with wifi 7.

Its installation is easy; it is advisable to download the latest drivers from the MSI website (75.30.27, released on 30/10/2025) in advance to the device where the adapter will be installed.
