It is bad. The maximum speed I managed to achieve is 800mbps in 5ghz with 80mhz channel width. While my old tplink deco x50 makes 980mbps easily. Do not recommend this AP.

I don't know how anyone can be satisfied with this particular access point.
The speeds it achieves are terrible.
In a bandwidth test (iperf3) between 2 MacBooks connected to this AP on the 5GHz band, the speeds they get are around 300 Mbit/s.
The access point is about 1 meter above the devices and the devices are 1 meter apart from each other.
In the same test, while the devices are wirelessly connected at 5GHz to the provider's router/PON, they consistently get 980Mbit, very close to the Gbit limit, which is as much as the router can provide.
I also tried increasing the channel width for 5GHz to 80MHz as well as setting the transmit power to always be on High, but the results are the same.
So, forget about the theoretical maximum speed of 5Gbit. If you see 1/10 of that, you should probably thank Ubiquiti.
As for the range, at 15 meters away with one wall in between, I get 50 Mbit/s and suffer disconnections... With the provider's router, I get 500+ Mbit/s at exactly the same distance (on a gigabit connection). Words are unnecessary.
This is the first time I've used a Ubiquiti AP and I regret it. I don't know if it's worth returning it and trying the U6+, or if I should just give up on Ubiquiti altogether and go for something else.
The 2 stars are because I don't want to be petty. Normally, it deserves 1 star.

Δοκίμασα και να αυξήσω το channel width για τα 5GHz σε 80MHz οπως και να σετάρω το transmit power να είναι μόνιμα στο High αλλά τα αποτελέσματα είναι ίδια.

Τα 2 αστέρια γιατί δεν θέλω να γίνομαι γραφικός. Κανονικά 1 αστέρι του αξίζει.
It struggles with speed through walls, but it does provide a signal, which is good. It was placed horizontally to cover the maximum possible area and not height. With the first obstacle, it halves the speed even if the obstacle is a door. On a floor with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, when you closed the door of the room where it is located and the door of the opposite room, the speed dropped from 300Mbps to 30-50Mbps.
In the end, the job was done by a Unifi 6 Long Range that a friend had for a decade on the ground floor, and the U7 Lite was moved to take its place. There, the results in an open space of about 60 square meters were satisfactory, which is why I give it 4 stars. The speed from 300 Mbps was at least 150 at the farthest point of the kitchen.
All tests were conducted with an iPhone 11 Pro Max and iPhone 13 and Speedtest by Ookla.
For the purpose it was purchased, it is not suitable, and ideally, the Long Range version would be needed, but not at the 120 euros it was bought for, but at 200 euros (Ubiquiti UniFi 6 Long-Range or U7 PRO at the same price perhaps).

Εν τέλη την δουλειά την έκανε ένα Unifi 6 Long Range που ήδη είχε ο φίλος εδώ και μια 10ετία στο ισόγειο και το U7 Lite κατέβηκε και πήρε την θέση του 6. Εκεί τα αποτελέσματα σε ανοικτό χώρο περίπου 60 τετραγωνικά ήταν ικανοποιητικά γιαυτό και βάζω 4 αστέρια. η ταχύτητα απο 300 Mbps ήταν το λιγότερο 150 στο πιο μακρινό σημείο της κουζίνας.

Δυσκολεύται με την ταχύτητα σε μεσοτοιχίες ωστόσο δίνει σήμα και αυτό είναι καλό. Τοποθετήθηκε σε οριζόντια θέση για να καλύπτει το μέγιστο δυνατό εμβαδό και όχι ύψος. Με το πρώτο εμπόδιο κόβει στο μισό την ταχύτητα ακόμη και αν το εμπόδιο είναι πόρτα. Σε όροφο με 3 υπνοδωμάτια και μπάνιο με το που έκλεινες την πόρτα του δωματίου που βρίσκεται και την πόρτα του απέναντι δωματίου η ταχύτητα από 300Mbps έπεφτε στα 30-50Mbps.
Εν τέλη την δουλειά την έκανε ένα Unifi 6 Long Range που ήδη είχε ο φίλος εδώ και μια 10ετία στο ισόγειο και το U7 Lite κατέβηκε και πήρε την θέση του 6. Εκεί τα αποτελέσματα σε ανοικτό χώρο περίπου 60 τετραγωνικά ήταν ικανοποιητικά γιαυτό και βάζω 4 αστέρια. η ταχύτητα απο 300 Mbps ήταν το λιγότερο 150 στο πιο μακρινό σημείο της κουζίνας.
Όλες οι δοκιμές έγιναν με iPhone 11 Pro Max και iPhone 13 και Speedtest by Ookla.
Για την χρήση που αγοράστηκε δεν κάνει και ιδανικά θα χρειαζόταν η έκδοση Long Range αλλά όχι στα 120 που αγοράστηκε αυτά αλλά στα 200 ευρώ (Ubiquiti UniFi 6 Long-Range ή U7 PRO στην ίδια τιμή ίσως).

It reaches WiFi 6E speeds (I don't know about WiFi 7), meaning on a 1Gbps line it reaches 850 to 900Mbps as long as you are close to the antenna. At a distance of 3-4 meters and with line of sight to the antenna, the speed drops noticeably to around 350 to 400Mbps, and with an obstacle like a wall or door it drops to 250Mbps. This one is set up with a Ubiquiti PoE injector 2.5Gbps (it also works with a D-Link 1Gbps) on a UniFi Switch 24p and is mounted on the ceiling for better coverage. It is best to keep the settings on Auto for better compatibility.
Φτάνει σε ταχύτητα wifi 6e, (για wifi 7 δεν γνωρίζω) δηλάδη σε γραμμή 1Gbps αγγίζει τα 850 με 900Mbps αρκεί να είσαι κοντά στην κεραία. Σε απόσταση 3-4 μέτρων και να έχεις οπτική επαφή με την κεραία η ταχύτητα μειώνεται αισθητά περίπου στα 350 με 400Mbps και με εμπόδιο τοίχο ή πόρτα πέφτει στα 250Mbps. Η συγκεκριμένη είναι σεταρισμένη με ubiquiti poe injector 2.5Gbps (παίζει και με D-Link 1Gbps) σε Unifi Switch 24p και είναι τοποθετημένη στο ταβάνι για καλύτερη εμβέλεια. Τις ρυθμίσεις καλό είναι τις έχετε στο Auto για καλύτερη συμβατότητα.
The tool is awesome and I didn't expect it. Wall-mounted installation on UDR7, I covered the downstairs house of 120sqm with full signal. In the Skroutz reviews, I didn't hear the best things about the signal, but in the end, it did the job.

It is bad. The maximum speed I managed to achieve is 800mbps in 5ghz with 80mhz channel width. While my old tplink deco x50 makes 980mbps easily. Do not recommend this AP.

I don't know how anyone can be satisfied with this particular access point.
The speeds it achieves are terrible.
In a bandwidth test (iperf3) between 2 MacBooks connected to this AP on the 5GHz band, the speeds they get are around 300 Mbit/s.
The access point is about 1 meter above the devices and the devices are 1 meter apart from each other.
In the same test, while the devices are wirelessly connected at 5GHz to the provider's router/PON, they consistently get 980Mbit, very close to the Gbit limit, which is as much as the router can provide.
I also tried increasing the channel width for 5GHz to 80MHz as well as setting the transmit power to always be on High, but the results are the same.
So, forget about the theoretical maximum speed of 5Gbit. If you see 1/10 of that, you should probably thank Ubiquiti.
As for the range, at 15 meters away with one wall in between, I get 50 Mbit/s and suffer disconnections... With the provider's router, I get 500+ Mbit/s at exactly the same distance (on a gigabit connection). Words are unnecessary.
This is the first time I've used a Ubiquiti AP and I regret it. I don't know if it's worth returning it and trying the U6+, or if I should just give up on Ubiquiti altogether and go for something else.
The 2 stars are because I don't want to be petty. Normally, it deserves 1 star.
Δεν ξέρω πως κάπως μπορεί να είναι ευχαριστημένος με το συγκεκριμένο access point.
Οι ταχύτητες που πιάνει είναι τραγικές.
Σε bandwidth test (iperf3) μεταξυ 2 macbook τα οποία είναι συνδεδεμένα στο συγκεκριμένο AP σε 5GHz μπάντα, οι ταχύτητες που πιάνουν είναι γύρω στα 300 Mbit/s.
Το access point είναι περίπου στο 1 μέτρο πάνω απο τις συσκευές και οι συσκευές είναι στο 1 μέτρο μεταξύ τους.
Στο ίδιο test ενώ οι συσκευές είναι συδεδεμένες ασύρματα στα 5Ghz στο router/pon του παρόχου πιάνουν σταθερά 980Mbit, πολύ κοντά στο όριο του Gbit, όσο δηλαδή μπορεί να δώσει το router.
Δοκίμασα και να αυξήσω το channel width για τα 5GHz σε 80MHz οπως και να σετάρω το transmit power να είναι μόνιμα στο High αλλά τα αποτελέσματα είναι ίδια.
Άρα την μέγιστη ταχύτητα που θεωρητικά είναι 5Gbit ξεχάστε την. Αν δείτε το 1/10 αυτής λογικά θα πρέπει να πείτε και ευχαριστώ στην Ubiquiti.
Όσο για την εμβέλεια, στα 15 μέτρα μακριά με έναν τοίχο ενδιάμεσα πιάνω 50 Mbit/s και τρώω και αποσυνδέσεις...Με το router του παρόχου πιάνω 500+ Mbit/s στην ακριβώς ίδια απόσταση(σε gigabit συνδεση) . Τα λόγια είναι περιττά.
Πρώτη φορά έπαιξα με AP ubiquiti και το έχω μετανοιώσει. Δεν ξέρω αν αξίζει να το επιστρέψω και να δοκιμάσω και το U6+ ή να παρατήσω τελείως τα ubiquiti και να πάω σε κάτι άλλο.
Τα 2 αστέρια γιατί δεν θέλω να γίνομαι γραφικός. Κανονικά 1 αστέρι του αξίζει.
It struggles with speed through walls, but it does provide a signal, which is good. It was placed horizontally to cover the maximum possible area and not height. With the first obstacle, it halves the speed even if the obstacle is a door. On a floor with 3 bedrooms and a bathroom, when you closed the door of the room where it is located and the door of the opposite room, the speed dropped from 300Mbps to 30-50Mbps.
In the end, the job was done by a Unifi 6 Long Range that a friend had for a decade on the ground floor, and the U7 Lite was moved to take its place. There, the results in an open space of about 60 square meters were satisfactory, which is why I give it 4 stars. The speed from 300 Mbps was at least 150 at the farthest point of the kitchen.
