The smoke was tolerable, it's very convenient that you can adjust the temperature as you like from the thermostat, and also with the lid you can reach high temperatures quickly. Apart from the fact that when you grill foods with a lot of fat (such as pork belly), no matter how much you try to direct the fats to the special tray, they don’t drain completely. The result is that the meat essentially ends up frying. This might make it tastier, but it definitely makes it much more unhealthy and heavy.
However, the most serious problem I discovered during cleaning: I noticed two scratches on the plate, which basically means the appliance is now useless. The worst part is that I can’t know if, the last time I used it, these scratches were already there, which means I may have consumed thousands of toxic particles or microplastics.
It’s worth noting that both the tongs and the spatula I used were made of silicone, so it’s truly incomprehensible to me how this kind of damage occurred on the plate’s surface.
Στην αρχή φάνηκε ότι άξιζε τα χρήματά της, όμως μετά από μόλις τρία ψησίματα θέλω να τη δώσω τζάμπα, απλώς για να μη την πετάξω, κάτι που θα ήταν πραγματικά κρίμα.
Πέρα από το γεγονός ότι, όταν ψήσεις τρόφιμα με αρκετό λίπος (όπως π.χ. πανσέτα), όσο κι αν προσπαθήσεις να οδηγήσεις τα λίπη προς την ειδική υποδοχή, δεν απομακρύνονται πλήρως. Το αποτέλεσμα είναι το κρέας να καταλήγει ουσιαστικά να τηγανίζεται. Μπορεί αυτό να το κάνει πιο νόστιμο, αλλά σίγουρα το καθιστά πολύ πιο ανθυγιεινό και βαρύ.
Το σοβαρότερο πρόβλημα, όμως, το διαπίστωσα κατά τον καθαρισμό: παρατήρησα δύο εκδορές στην πλάκα, κάτι που πρακτικά σημαίνει ότι η συσκευή είναι πλέον για πέταμα. Το χειρότερο είναι ότι δεν μπορώ να γνωρίζω αν, την τελευταία φορά που τη χρησιμοποίησα, υπηρχαν αυτες οι εκδορές που σημαινει ότι μπορει να κατανάλωσα χιλιάδες τοξικά σωματίδια ή μικροπλαστικά.
Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι τόσο η λαβίδα όσο και η σπάτουλα που χρησιμοποιούσα ήταν από σιλικόνη, επομένως μου είναι πραγματικά ακατανόητο πώς προέκυψαν αυτές οι φθορές στην επιφάνεια της πλάκας.
