The Lindy 39245 KVM and data switch is a KVM extender over Cat.6 RJ-45 cable, comprising a transmitter and a receiver. It lets you control a source device, such as a computer, using a keyboard, mouse and monitor from up to 140 m away. It supports DVI-D Single Link resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, as well as HDMI signals with Full HD 1080p, 3D and HDCP 1.4.
Connect the source to the transmitter, and the monitor, keyboard and mouse to the receiver. EDID functionality supports compatibility with a monitor or projector connected to the receiver or to the transmitter’s DVI loop-out port. The 3.5 mm analogue audio inputs and outputs let you connect speakers, a microphone and a line-in source, while the RS-232 connections allow integration with pre-installed control systems. You can also connect additional USB 2.0 devices, such as storage devices and hard drives. The extender works in a point-to-point setup or over a gigabit network, while rotary switches on both units let you pair the transmitter and receiver.
