The Meinl Tambourine Hihat operates just like a pair of hi-hat cymbals. The bottom rests on the hihat stand base, and the top attaches to the pull rod of the stand. Four central posts keep the two pieces aligned for optimal response.
Its bright and controlled sound blends beautifully with a low-intensity cajon/percussion set, while it can stand out or be used as an auxiliary tambourine in a full drum set.
The sturdy steel frame supports playing with drumsticks. Equipped with stainless steel jingles, they produce a bright tone.
