Description

An exceptionally specialized Shiraz producer, Two Hands is inspired by a small amount of the most exquisite Barossa Cabernet to create a limited small batch wine.

It is crushed and fermented in five-ton open top fermenters with regular pump overs three times daily during peak fermentation to extract color and tannin. After seven to twenty-one days of soaking, the dry free-run juice is drained into the tank. The skins are then pressed, and the must is transferred to the same tank, and the wine is then put into barrels for malolactic fermentation.

Extensive aging for a period of twenty-two months in 100% new French oak.

The Aphrodite has intense aromas of crème de cassis, berries, and dried plums with notes of tart raspberry, allspice, pepper, and lavender.

Full-bodied, powerful, and seductive on the palate, it has a medium to firm level of fine tannins, beautifully balanced acidity, and a very long finish.
