The Lindy 39416 KVM over IP switch enables remote control of a computer or KVM switch over a network, even if the device does not have built-in over-IP functionality. It connects via DVI-I and USB ports and also supports older computers with PS/2 and VGA using a PS/2 KM cable and the included DVI-to-VGA adapter. It supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, using compression technology to transmit video.

A local console can be connected to the two USB ports and the DVI-I port on the front panel. The rear USB Wi-Fi port accepts a Wi-Fi dongle with a Realtek RTL8192CU chipset for connecting to a wireless network. The device supports multiple encryption levels, up to 256 user accounts, and simultaneous access and shared control for up to 8 users.
