Description
The Radeon RX 9070 is a graphics card from AMD, expected to be released in March 2025. Manufactured on the 4 nm process and based on the Navi 48 graphics processor, in its Navi 48 XL variant, the card supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. The new GPUs are expected to leverage the RDNA 4 architecture, with improved performance in ray tracing and AI-powered upscaling via FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4).
This ensures that all modern games will run on the Radeon RX 9070. Additionally, the DirectX 12 Ultimate capability guarantees support for hardware ray tracing, variable-rate shading, and more in upcoming video games. The Navi 48 graphics processor is a large chip with a surface area of 390 mm². It features 4096 shading units, 256 texture mapping units, and 96 ROPs. The card also has 64 ray tracing acceleration cores. AMD has paired 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with the Radeon RX 9070, which are connected via a 256-bit memory interface. The GPU operates at a frequency of 2210 MHz, which can be boosted up to 2700 MHz, and the memory operates at 2438 MHz (19.5 Gbps effective).

Windforce Cooling System
The WINDFORCE cooling system features three unique 90 mm blade fans that alternate rotation, 7 composite copper heat pipes, a large copper plate that directly touches the GPU, active 3D fans, and screen cooling, which together provide high heat dissipation performance.
