The air compressor head is suitable for replacement in older air compressors of any brand. When installing, it is important to pay attention to the following:
- Pulley diameter: Check the diameter of the pulley of the previous motor and the flywheel. The motor's pulley and the head's flywheel affect the head's RPM. Leave a tolerance in the RPM of at least 15% below the MAXIMUM.
- Oil in the sump: Add oil (SAE 15W50) to the sump before starting.
- Flywheel rotation direction: Check that the flywheel's rotation direction is according to the arc for proper cooling of the head.
- Tightening of the belt and fittings: Properly tighten the drive belt and the fittings of the hose that carries air to the air tank. Check the fittings for any leaks during operation.
- Check pressure switch and check valve: Inspect the pressure switch (automatic) and the check valve internally, as well as the safety valve.
