The Clue Giver must guide the Guessers to identify a Secret Card from the twelve displayed on the table, by playing other cards from their hand as Clues. There are two types of Clues: Remove Clues (cards played horizontally, which have something in common with one or more cards that the Guessers must remove) or Keep Clues (cards played vertically, which have something in common with one or more cards that the Guessers must keep).
For example, if the Secret Card is Mary Shelley. You can play Virginia Woolf as a Keep Clue, to indicate to the Guessers that the characters they need to keep are English, writers, wear earrings, or have brown hair. Alternatively, you can play Vincent Van Gogh as a Remove Clue, to show that the characters they need to remove are men, artists, have beards, or have light-colored eyes… it will be up to the Guessers to understand what the Clue Giver is trying to indicate!

- Play Clues vertically (Keep) or horizontally (Remove) to indicate characters that should be kept or removed.
