Description

Description

The Endgame Gear XM2w 4K is the top wireless implementation of the XM series, designed for competitive use with a weight of just 62g and no external holes. It features the high-end PixArt PAW3395 sensor with a resolution of 26000 CPI and MotionSync technology for absolute precision. Its architecture is based on dual microcontrollers, Nordic and Nuvoton, achieving a polling rate of 4000Hz to minimize latency. Equipped with pre-selected Kailh GX SPDT switches for instant response under 310 microseconds and a hybrid design for the skates made from PTFE.

PixArt PAW3395 Sensor & MotionSync

The XM2w 4K incorporates the optical sensor PixArt PAW3395, which offers a maximum resolution of 26000 CPI and a tracking speed of 650 IPS. The sensor technology supports acceleration of 50G and a minimum Lift-Off Distance (LOD) of 1mm. The MotionSync function synchronizes the sensor signals with the system's polling cycles for stable position reporting. All smoothing and angle-snapping filters are disabled, providing raw data tracking, while in Corded Mode all power-saving settings are completely disabled.

Wireless Technology 4000Hz with Nordic MCU

The management of wireless communication is handled by the Nordic nRF52840 microcontroller in the mouse and the Nordic nRF52820 in the 4K Dongle. A third processor, the Nuvoton M483, serves the high-speed USB connection. This architecture enables a polling rate of up to 4000Hz, reducing data transmission time to 0.25ms. Transmission stability is ensured through a dedicated algorithm, minimizing sensor and click latency to levels lower than wired solutions with 1000Hz.

Kailh GX SPDT Custom-Made Switches

The Kailh GX mechanical switches feature an SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) configuration for optimal electrical contact, eliminating the double-clicking phenomenon. With an average latency of less than 310 microseconds (measured at 4000Hz), they offer extremely fast actuation. They support GX Speed Mode for speed and GX Safe Mode for signal reliability. The click feel is crisp and tactile, while the switches are pre-sorted to ensure uniformity in actuation force and reset.

Internal Design & Weight 62g

The shell retains the classic shape for claw grip, but has undergone a complete internal redesign to reduce the weight to ~62g. The construction remains solid without external holes (honeycomb), ensuring structural integrity and durability. The weight distribution is balanced for optimal control during fast movements. The surface features a special coating that provides a stable grip even in sweaty conditions, while the materials are resistant to long-term wear.

Hybrid PTFE Skates & Energy Management

The base of the XM2w 4K features a hybrid skate socket design, allowing the installation of either small or large feet made from 100% PTFE. The package includes both sizes, as well as an optional sensor skate for use on soft pads. The firmware focuses on maximum performance without aggressive power saving during use (Almost No Power-Saving). However, the software provides the option to customize the sleep timers and power settings for users who want longer battery life.

As a peripheral enthusiast (having purchased over 40+ mice) and a fan of claw/aggressive claw grip, I can confidently say there is nothing better. If you haven't been swept up in the frenzy that a gaming mouse must be around 35+ grams, then don't hesitate; there is nothing better. Let's not forget that "shape is king." The build quality is unparalleled. Endgame gear is renowned for this, after all. Coating is flawless!

Even for left-handed people like me, it is convenient, and regarding battery life and accuracy, it is top-notch.

I have become the owner of several gaming mice over the years (Razer DeathAdder and Viper, Logitech G Pro X Superlight, etc.) but I never really took the time to find which one suited my grip the best.
    • I can now say with certainty that this particular mouse is the best I have used for claw grip. It fits perfectly in my hand and what definitely stands out is its build quality, as you immediately feel like you are holding something durable and premium. It doesn't have light clicks, which for me personally is a positive, and of course, it comes with the PixArt PAW3395 sensor, which along with the 4k polling rate, makes it ultra responsive. I mainly play FPS games and the impact it had was immediate (smoother movements, more flick shots, etc.).
    • The only "negative" is that, due to the coating it has, it leaves fingerprints. But again, this particular coating is what makes it stand out and have one of the best grips in mice on the market. Finally, its battery lasts about a week with normal use.

Well, I have changed many mice in my life: G Pro Super Light, Razer Viper V3, Lamzu Atlantis, and many more... this one is 62.5 grams, I believe it's the perfect weight for a mouse... it has such balance in weight that all movements are precise... I play CS level 10 Faceit. The clicks are clicky, but you don't care because you're wearing headphones in the game. I believe it's the best mouse you can get... oh, and the size is just right; I have relatively medium hands and I can use it in both palm and claw grip... for me, it's top-notch, guys
