The Conklin Pen Company® was founded in 1898 in Toledo, Ohio, USA. Conklin is considered one of the leading and innovative manufacturers of writing instruments from the golden age of pens to today. In 1923, the Duragraph model was introduced, which soon came to be regarded as 'the definitive' pen. The name of the model is derived from the combination of the words “durable” and “graph,” which convey the meaning of Duragraph.

The Physical Vapor Deposition or PVD process uses various thin film deposition techniques focused on evaporating a solid material in a vacuum environment, resulting in the deposition on the surface as a pure material coating. Furthermore, the PVD coating is particularly resistant to corrosion and wear, making it ideal for decorative finishes with colors that do not fade. A PVD coating in gold or platinum produces finishes of exceptional strength, resistant to scratches and scuffs. The Duragraph PVD collection is available in PVD Gold and PVD Blue.
