The full-frame 6K CMOS sensor at the heart of the C80 camera allows it to deliver exceptionally low noise, increased sensitivity performance, and better 4K images through 6K oversampling. All of this is made possible by the improved light capture technology of the back-illuminated, stacked CMOS sensor.

Description
Offering exceptional full-frame 6K30 capture in a compact form, the Cinema Camera Full-Frame Canon EOS C80 6K combines the CMOS sensor of the EOS C400 with a lightweight design similar to the EOS C70. Ideal for fast shooting and solo operation, this digital camera features triple ISO mounts of 800, 3200, and 12,800 in log/raw, upgraded Dual Pixel CMOS AF II autofocus, and simultaneous 12G-SDI and HDMI video output. The EOS C80's RF mount provides compatibility with Canon's fast, reliable RF lenses, and a motorized ND filter wheel allows for instant exposure adjustment.
Full-Frame 6K Sensor
The full-frame 6K CMOS sensor at the heart of the C80 camera allows it to deliver exceptionally low noise, increased sensitivity performance, and better 4K images through 6K oversampling. All of this is made possible by the improved light capture technology of the back-illuminated, stacked CMOS sensor.
Multiple Recording Formats
The C80's multiple recording formats include up to full-frame 6K30 Canon Cinema RAW Light LT and cropped S35 up to 4K30 in RAW ST and 4K60 in RAW LT.
Available oversampling 4K 120p or 2K 180p with maximum detail, all with 10-bit 4:2:2 color.
Slow and fast motion can be recorded at rates up to UHD 4K120 in HEVC and AVC codecs.
Make the editing process easier by using XF-AVC S and XF-HEVC S codecs, with an easier naming system and folder structure, as well as metadata retention, all within the established MP4 format.
RF Lens Mount
An integrated RF lens mount gives the EOS C80 compatibility with Canon's series of fast, reliable RF mount lenses with advanced coatings and image stabilization.
With a short flange distance, the RF mount contributes to a noticeable reduction in the depth of the camera body, resulting in a more compact design.
Optional PL-RF Adapter
A new PL-RF lens mount adapter gives you access to a wide variety of ARRI PL mount cinema-style lenses.
This adapter features Cooke/i metadata compatibility and locking plates for secure fitting.
Multiple Interfaces Including 12G-SDI
Video outputs include full-size HDMI and 12G-SDI BNC outputs that can be used simultaneously to feed a built-in monitor, video transmitter, or EVF.
Use the USB-C port for UVC video output or to connect to a smartphone or with a Canon GP-E2 GPS receiver.
A BNC socket allows users to input and output timecode, facilitating synchronization in multi-camera shoots.
Note that the BNC port can output either SDI video or timecode but not both simultaneously.
Dual-Pixel CMOS Autofocus
The improved Dual-Pixel CMOS AF technology uses every pixel in approximately 100% of the CMOS sensor for focus detection and image information.
The excellent light capture of the stacked back-illuminated sensor expands the sensor area, which can be used for autofocus.
The EOS C80 also offers the EOS iTR AF X autofocus function, featuring an algorithm developed using deep learning technology to detect the human form.
Mini-XLR Audio Inputs
Two mini-XLR inputs with phantom power and manual control selectors provide professional audio recording options.
The EOS C80 supports 4-channel audio using two mini-XLR ports, an internal stereo microphone, and a 3.5 mm microphone input.
Built-in ND filters
Designed for the short flange distance of the EOS C80 RF mount, a slim motorized ND filter unit allows users to quickly select up to 10 stops of neutral density.
ND button controls on the right side of the camera allow operators to quickly adjust exposure while maintaining the depth of field of their shot.
Support for Log2/3 and 3D LUT
For greater post-production flexibility, the C80 offers Canon's Log 2 and Log 3 gamma functions, which provide expanded dynamic range with excellent tonal reproduction for highlights and low-light areas of your images. The EOS C80 also supports 3D LUT, so you can have the most accurate color reproduction on both the LCD and external display monitor.
Compact design with tilting LCD screen
The compact EOS C80 features a lightweight design with an integrated ergonomic grip and joystick controller.
It has a multi-accessory hot shoe on top and includes a detachable handle and microphone holder.
The LCD screen features a reinforced hinge and built-in controls, such as focus peaking, waveforms, and more.
Dual SD Card Slot / Multiple Recording Options
The dual SD card slots on the EOS C80 offer simultaneous video recording, relay recording, and interval video recording. The EOS C80 can also capture JPEG photos.
Ethernet and Wi-Fi Control
Use the Ethernet port and built-in Wi-Fi with an optional Canon RC-IP1000 or RC-IP100 unit for remote control access based on the XC protocol.
Compatibility with the Canon Multicamera Control app for iPhone provides monitoring and start/stop, focus, iris, zoom, ND filter, ISO, shutter, white balance, custom image control, and more.
BP-AN Series Battery
Use the included BP-A30N battery, a BP-A60N battery, or a 24 VDC adapter to power the C80. Older BP-A batteries can also be used, but they do not power the Multi-Accessory hot shoe.
Support your C80 with a third-party cage to add a V-mount or gold-mount battery plate to allow for longer run times.
