The 3 stars are because on Linux it doesn't reach 2.5Gbps. It does state that it is connected at 2.5Gbps but it doesn't reach those speeds.
It just gives a little over 1Gbps and doesn't support Jumbo Frame MTU. There is an indirect solution by changing udev, which improves the situation, but still doesn't reach 2.5Gbps!
A workaround can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAfPm2CxfI4

It is possible that the same problem exists on Windows, but I don't know and it's good to confirm before buying it.

It works perfectly with my computer and the Synology NAS DS1522+. It features a Realtek RTL8156BG chipset offering 2.5G speeds. The BG chipset has a much lower power consumption and less heat output than other chipsets. Note that for installation on Synology NAS, you will need to manually install the driver as a package (you can find it on Github bb-qq /r8152).
