Windows Server 2022 introduces advanced multi-layer security, hybrid capabilities with Azure, and a flexible application platform. With this release, secure core features are introduced to help protect the hardware, firmware, and features of the Windows Server operating system from advanced security threats.

The Secured-core server is built on technologies such as Windows Defender System Guard and Virtualization-based Security to minimize risks associated with firmware vulnerabilities and advanced malware. The new release also provides secure connectivity, introducing many new features, such as:

• Industrial-strength SMB AES 256 encryption standards
• Significantly improved virtual machine management

• Many new features in the Windows Admin Center
