The Jelonet paraffin gauze is sterile and consists of loosely woven cotton fabric and a paraffin base. It softens and protects the wound, and is permeable to air and exudates. It can be easily cut to different sizes and does not fray.
The Jelonet paraffin gauze is used for wound treatment, especially for maintaining the elasticity of the surface and edges of the wound, such as large abrasions, cuts, and burns. It is also suitable for covering areas in skin grafts and securing partial-thickness skin grafts.
The Jelonet paraffin gauze is indicated in dermatology as well as for patients with sensitive skin.
