Unfortunately, I can't go into much detail because I bought it for my wife, not for myself. If it matters, though, she is super satisfied with the device. (She came from an iPhone 12)
From the little I saw myself, the pros:
- It has excellent cameras, especially in video mode. Photos come out vibrant but balanced, but especially the videos are excellent in both tone and frame rate and smoothness.
- Excellent and large screen, good even outdoors.
- Strong battery that easily lasts the day. Nothing crazy, but considering its performance, it's good.
- Classic, but proven design. If you liked previous iPhones, you'll love this one too.
And the cons (or at least my complaints if not cons):
- Compared to previous models, I don't see big differences. If you're a generation or two behind, I wouldn't upgrade.
- The AI, which is much talked about, lags far behind the competitors' offerings.
- Although its screen is beautiful and high-refresh-rate, in most menus, it doesn't show. My own phone is smoother or snappier, how should I put it. I searched a lot, didn't find any wrong setting. It's noticeably smoother than the regular 16, but still, I expected it to be more buttery than it is.
- If you're an Android user, iOS is at least annoying. If you're already an iPhone user, then everything's fine. It's just that many things in its UI are strange to me.
- For its specs, I think it's overpriced.
Summary:
In general, I pushed my wife quite a bit to prefer something else, like the S25 Ultra, but since she wanted this, this is what we got. In short, it's an extremely good and extremely expensive phone. If you're used to the good things about Android and are Advanced Users, you'll miss some things. If you're a Casual Instagram/Facebook/NBG Banking user, then it's more than enough. The hardware, as I said, is powerful, and the cameras (for the influencers :D) are KILLERS.

Δυστυχώς δεν μπορώ να μπω σε πολλές λεπτομέρειες διότι το αγόρασα για την σύζυγό μου, και όχι για μένα. Αν έχει κάποια σημασία όμως, η ίδια είναι υπερ-ευχαριστημένη με την συσκευή. (ήρθε απο iPhone 12)
Απο τα λίγα που είδα εγώ, στα υπέρ:
- Έχει εξαιρετικές κάμερες, ειδικά σε video mode.
Και οι φωτογραφίες βγαίνουν ζωντανές αλλά ισορροπημένες, αλλά ειδικά τα βίντεο είναι άριστα τόσο σε τόνο όσο και σε καρέ και smoothness.
- Εξαιρετική και μεγάλη οθόνη, καλή και σε εξωτερικό χώρο.
- Δυνατή μπαταρία που βγάζει την ημέρα άνετα. Όχι κάτι τρελό, αλλά αναλογιζόμενοι και τις επιδόσεις του, καλή είναι.
- Κλασσικό, αλλά proven design. Αν σου άρεσαν τα προηγούμενα iPhones, θα λατρέψεις και αυτό.
Και στα κατά (ή εστω τα παράπονά μου αν όχι κατά):
- Σε σχέση με τα προηγούμενα μοντέλα δεν παρατηρώ και μεγάλες διαφορές. Αν είσαι μια-δυο γενιές πίσω, εγώ δεν θα άλλαζα.
- Το AI για το οποίο γίνεται και πολύς ντόρος υστερεί πολύ σε σχέση με τις προτάσεις των αντιπάλων.
- Αν και η οθόνη του, είναι πανέμορφη, και high-refresh-rate, στα περισσότερα μενού, δεν φαίνεται. Το δικό μου κινητό είναι πιο smooth ή snappy, πως να το πω. Έψαξα αρκετά, δεν βρήκα κάποια ρύθμιση λάθος. Είναι νοητά πιο Smooth απο το απλό 16άρι, αλλά και πάλι το περίμενα πιο βούτυρο απ'οτι είναι.
- Αν είσαι χρήστης Android, το iOS είναι το λιγότερο, σπαστικό.
Αν πάλι είσαι ήδη χρήστης iPhone, τότε όλα καλά. Απλά εμένα με ξενίζουν πολλά πράγματα στο UI του.
- Για τα Specs του, εγώ θεωρώ πως είναι τσιμπημένο.
Σύνοψη:
Γενικά πίεσα αρκετά την σύζυγο να προτιμήσει κάτι άλλο, όπως πχ το S25 Ultra, αλλά αφού ήθελε αυτό, αυτό πήραμε.
Χωρίς πολλά λόγια, είναι εξαιρετικά καλό, και εξαιρετικά ακριβό κινητό. Αν έχετε συνηθίσει τα καλά του Android και είστε Advanced Users θα σας λείψουν πράγματα. Αν πάλι είστε Casual Instagram/Facebook/NBG Banking users, τότε είναι παραπάνω απο αρκετό. Το Hardware όπως είπα είναι πανίσχυρο, και οι κάμερες (για τους ιφλουέσερς :D) είναι KILLERS.
Όπως και να έχει, η επιλογή είναι δική σας.

For the 16 Pro Max, I had higher expectations in the year 2024. The camera cannot do more than x15 in video and can only do up to x25 zoom in photo mode, while other brands in previous models can do x100-x120. Other than that, they added the camera button, which is unnecessary. Anyone who has the 14-15 Pro and Pro Max should not even think about buying it; they will regret their money!

I have been using an iPhone as an amateur since 2020, I don't know many of its functions. I am very satisfied as they are durable over the years. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is a beautiful phone on the outside, very carefully crafted with attention to detail and it doesn't lag. My eternal and biggest complaint and problem is their battery. It's unacceptable for such expensive phones with unattainable prices to have their battery decrease rapidly and dramatically within just a few months!

Και επειδή ξέρω πως δν έχει μεγάλη διαφορά σ σχέση με το φετινό μοντέλο αλλά ούτε εμφανισιακά μ άρεσε είπα ας δοκιμάσω και το 16 pro max πως είναι κ βλέπουμε..
Το έχω εδώ και μια μέρα στα χέρια μ με υγεία μπαταρίας 89% μιλάμε έχει τρομερή διαφορά σ σχέση μ ηχείο και διάρκεια μπαταρίας παρόλο που έχω όλη μέρα ανοιχτά Bluetooth επειδή χρησιμοποιώ Apple Watch και πολλές φορές ανοιχτά δεδομένα ούτε έχει ανέβασει θερμοκρασία μέχρι στιγμής. Το μόνο αρνητικό για εμένα είναι το μέγεθος τα τελευταία χρόνια χρησιμοποιώ pro μοντέλα και μ έρχεται παντόφλα αυτό που έχω τώρα κατά τα άλλα είναι ΤΟΠ. The phone does not function normally.
Many times the screen goes dark, nothing is visible and it comes back after ten minutes, or 30 minutes, and once even after 12 hours.

Πολλές φορές η οθόνη σκοτεινιάζει,δεν φαίνεται τίποτα και επανέρχεται μετά από δέκα λεπτά,η 30 λεπτά της ώρας,έτυχε και μετά από 12 ώρες.

From iPhone 14 Pro Max (which was very good)
I went to the 16, I supposedly upgraded, but unfortunately I was disappointed, the phone was noticeably slower than the 14, at first it was constantly lagging, I went to the service and they told me it would get better with an update, indeed it got a bit better, but it still feels heavy, like it's lazy to move.
The slightly bigger screen didn't suit me, the new camera interface is useless for me, it's had 2-3 freezes and the screen has blacked out, generally good photos, good screen but it's Apple, when you go from 14 to 16 you expect to see some difference, not to be running to the service.
After a few months I can say that the phone has improved with the updates, very good build quality, fast, perfect screen, but the button for the photo not even once... maybe if it was smaller in size or if someone has huge hands

Πήγα στο 16 έκανα αναβάθμιση υποτιθετε,αλλά δυστυχώς απογοητευτικά ,το κινητό ηταν αισθητά ποιο αργό από το 14 στην αρχή κόλλαγε συνέχεια,πήγα στο σέρβις με είπε αν θα γίνει καλύτερο με αναβάθμιση όντως έστρωσε λιγάκι ,αλλά πολύ βάρη σαν να βαριέται λίγο να κουνηθεί
Το ότι έχει λιγό μεγαλύτερη οθόνη εμένα δεν με βόλεψε ,το καινούργιο κουκπι της κάμερας εμένα δνε με βολεύει αχρηστο ,έχει κάνει 2/3’κοληματα και έχει μαυρίσει γενετικά καλές φωτό καλή οθηνη αλλά apple είναι όταν πας από 14 στο 16 περιμένεις να δεις κάποια διαφορά όχι να τρέχεις στο σέρβις.

Transition from S23 Ultra. First time getting an iPhone since everyone in my circle has one. I decided to try it.
I can say that I was late to switch to iPhone!
What I like most is its simplicity. My Galaxy was a mess, while the iPhone seems more organized, and I use the same apps. Additionally, some apps are designed differently—Letterboxd, Duolingo, Busuu, Goodreads—you notice differences for the better.
UPDATE
Unfortunately, they ruined it with the new update. iOS 18 was the best thing they ever released and one of the reasons I made the switch. iOS 26, on the other hand, is the Windows Vista of phones, with the so-called liquid glass which is literally a copy of Vista.
The battery is also affected; I end the day with ~20%.

Αυτό που μ' αρέσει περισσότερο είναι η απλότητά του. Στο Galaxy μου γινόταν ένα χάος ενώ το iphone μου φαίνεται πιο μαζεμένο, και χρησιμοποιώ τις ίδιες εφαρμογές. Επιπλέον, ορισμένες εφαρμογές είναι διαφορετικά σχεδιασμένες, Letterboxd, duolingo, Busuu, Goodreads, παρατηρείς διαφορές προς το καλύτερο.

Δυστυχώς με την νέα ενημέρωση το χάλασαν. Το iOS 18 ήταν ό,τι καλύτερο έβγαλαν ποτέ κι ένας λόγος που έκανα την μετάβαση. Το iOS 26 απ' την άλλη είναι τα windows vista των κινητών, με το υποτιθέμενο liquid glass που είναι αντιγραφή των vista, κυριολεκτικά.
Έχει επηρεαστεί και η μπαταρία, κλείνω την μέρα με ~20%.

Many of the positives mentioned by other users are true, but the battery is a big minus. It barely lasts a day with moderate use. When I had to use the personal hotspot for a week to have internet at home, it needed charging twice a day. Charging with the original Apple charger is very slow and the phone gets very hot during charging. The camera is very good but often has problematic focus in macro, for example in photos.
Πολλά τα θετικά που έχουν αναφερθεί από άλλους χρήστες, αλλά η μπαταρία ένα μεγάλο μείον. Με το ζόρι βγάζει τη μέρα με μέτρια χρήση. Όταν για μια βδομάδα χρειάστηκε να κάνω χρήση του προσωπικού hotspot για να έχω ίντερνετ σε σπίτι, ήθελε φόρτιση δύο φορές τη μέρα . Φόρτιση με γνήσιο φορτιστή της Apple πολύ αργή και το κινητό ζεσταίνεται πολύ κατά τη διάρκειά της. H κάμερα πολύ καλή αλλά συχνά προβληματική η εστίαση στο macro, παράδειγμα η φωτογραφία.
I had the 11 Pro Max before this, what a beast! The 16 Pro Max is on another level. I go to work in the morning and come back at noon with 98% battery, and at work I keep fiddling with it all the time. The speakers are in a class of their own. I’ve had the s25 ultra in my hands—NO COMPARISON. In general, whatever you look for, they’ve done it with such attention to detail that everything is flawless. Cameras? Honestly, I’m left speechless. The texture of objects in photos, for those who know, is above DSLR quality. An excellent phone that does everything perfectly no matter what you look for. You can’t find a negative no matter how hard you try. Now, is it worth the money? I got it for €1100. It could be cheaper, but man, the phone is an experience. I’ll keep it until it wears out.

Είχα πριν από αυτό το 11 Pro Max σκυλί! Το 16 pro max είναι άλλο επίπεδο. Πάω στην δουλειά πρωί και γυρνάω το μεσημέρι με 98% μπαταρία και στην δουλειά όλο κάθε λίγο το πειράζω. Τα ηχεία είναι μια κλάση από μόνα τους. Είχε περάσει από τα χέρια μου s25 ultra ΚΑΜΙΑ ΣΧΕΣΗ. Γενικά ότι και να ψάξεις το έχουν κάνει με τόσο προσοχή που είναι όλα άψογα. Κάμερες? Πραγματικά έχω μείνει με το στόμα ανοιχτό. Η υφή των αντικειμένων για όσους ξέρουν στις φωτογραφίες είναι πάνω από DSLR ποιότητα. Ένα άριστο κινητό που όπου και να το ψάξεις τα κάνει όλα άψογα. Δεν μπορείς να βρεις αρνητικό όσο και να ψάχνεσαι. Τώρα αξίζει τα λεφτά του? Εγώ το πήρα 1100€. Θα μπορούσε να είναι και φθηνότερο αλλά είναι εμπειρία ρε φίλε το κινητό. Θα το κρατήσω μέχρι να λιώσει.

I had all the iPhones, iPads, and iMacs until 2013. Around then, I felt that Apple was falling behind: small screens, big bezels. I made the switch to the Galaxy Note 3 and it really was night and day. I remember even friends with iPhones were impressed when they saw the Galaxy.
Since then I continued with Android: Galaxy S10+, and more recently the S23 Ultra. And now — back to iOS with the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
I knew what to expect.
My goal was to experience it using only Apple’s apps. No Google, no third-party at first. I wanted to see what Apple offers "out of the box."
The truth is that the iPhone has shortcomings and limitations:
The Translate app does not support Greek.
Apple Maps are practically useless in Greece.
There are quite a few small details and features missing — things considered standard on Android.
On the other hand, iOS has a "clean," beautiful, and homogeneous aesthetic. You feel that everything is perfectly tied together: hardware, software, animations, gestures. It’s a “cute” environment, almost playful but also professional at the same time.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s screen may be technically better, but on the iPhone everything looks more “beautiful,” due to the system’s design.
My personal opinion is that you can’t compare the two ecosystems just based on specs (camera, screen, battery, etc.). The iPhone has specific weaknesses, but also unique virtues. A good review should mention both.
Yes, the iPhone is also a Status Symbol. Like an expensive piece of clothing. That’s not a bad thing — when you spend that much money, it’s reasonable to want something that stands out. The Galaxy is recognizable, but more so by those who "know." The iPhone is recognized everywhere.
Ultimately, in flagships of this category, no one expects anything less than an excellent camera, sound, screen, and battery. What makes the difference is the overall experience, and there the iPhone 16 Pro Max has its own distinct identity — with its pros and cons.
About the price:
The iPhone is expensive — and often with less storage compared to Android devices in the same category. However, it holds its value. If you decide at some point to sell it to get the next model, resale is much easier and more profitable compared to other flagships.
Επιστροφή στην Apple μετά από χρόνια Android χρήσης.
Είχα όλα τα iPhone, iPad και iMac μέχρι το 2013. Κάπου εκεί ένιωσα ότι η Apple έμεινε πίσω: μικρές οθόνες, μεγάλα bezels. Έκανα τη μετάβαση στο Galaxy Note 3 και πραγματικά ήταν η μέρα με τη νύχτα. Θυμάμαι πως ακόμα και φίλοι με iPhone εντυπωσιάζονταν όταν έβλεπαν το Galaxy.
Έκτοτε συνέχισα με Android: Galaxy S10+, και πιο πρόσφατα το S23 Ultra. Και τώρα — επιστροφή στο iOS με το iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Ήξερα τι να περιμένω.
Σκοπός μου ήταν να ζήσω την εμπειρία μόνο με τις εφαρμογές της Apple. Καμία Google, κανένα third-party στην αρχή. Ήθελα να δω τι προσφέρει η Apple "out of the box".
Η αλήθεια είναι ότι το iPhone έχει ελλείψεις και περιορισμούς:
Η εφαρμογή Translate δεν υποστηρίζει ελληνικά.
Οι Χάρτες της Apple είναι πρακτικά άχρηστοι στην Ελλάδα.
Υπάρχουν αρκετές μικρές λεπτομέρειες και λειτουργίες που λείπουν — και που στο Android θεωρούνται δεδομένες.
Από την άλλη, το iOS έχει μια "καθαρή", όμορφη και ομοιογενή αισθητική. Νιώθεις ότι όλα είναι άψογα δεμένα μεταξύ τους: hardware, software, animations, gestures. Είναι ένα “cute” περιβάλλον, σχεδόν παιχνιδιάρικο αλλά και επαγγελματικό ταυτόχρονα.
Η οθόνη του Galaxy S25 Ultra μπορεί να είναι τεχνικά καλύτερη, αλλά στο iPhone όλα φαίνονται πιο “όμορφα”, λόγω του σχεδιασμού του συστήματος.
Η προσωπική μου άποψη είναι ότι δεν γίνεται να συγκρίνεις τα δύο οικοσυστήματα μόνο με βάση specs (κάμερα, οθόνη, μπαταρία κ.λπ.). Το iPhone έχει συγκεκριμένες αδυναμίες, αλλά και μοναδικές αρετές. Ένα καλό review πρέπει να τα λέει και τα δύο.
Ναι, το iPhone είναι και Status Symbol. Όπως και ένα ακριβό ρούχο. Δεν είναι κακό αυτό — όταν δίνεις τόσα χρήματα, είναι λογικό να θες κάτι που ξεχωρίζει. Το Galaxy είναι αναγνωρίσιμο, αλλά περισσότερο από όσους "ξέρουν". Το iPhone αναγνωρίζεται παντού.
Τελικά, στα flagship αυτής της κατηγορίας, κανείς δεν περιμένει κάτι λιγότερο από εξαιρετική κάμερα, ήχο, οθόνη και μπαταρία. Αυτό που κάνει τη διαφορά είναι η συνολική εμπειρία, και εκεί το iPhone 16 Pro Max έχει τη δική του ξεχωριστή ταυτότητα — με τα υπέρ του, και τα κατά του.
Σχετικά με την τιμή:
Το iPhone είναι ακριβό — και συχνά με λιγότερο αποθηκευτικό χώρο σε σύγκριση με Android συσκευές της ίδιας κατηγορίας. Όμως, κρατάει την αξία του. Αν αποφασίσεις κάποια στιγμή να το πουλήσεις για να πάρεις το επόμενο μοντέλο, η μεταπώληση είναι πολύ πιο εύκολη και αποδοτική σε σχέση με άλλες ναυαρχίδες.
The best phone on the market, I have nothing to say, flawless, no lags, whatever app or game I threw at it, it ran them smoothly. If someone can afford it or can get it tax-free, they should do it in my opinion.

Former owner of S24 Ultra, it's like night and day in terms of battery life, both new. Battery management like the iPhone is unmatched, and it still hasn't learned my usage pattern. The iPhone's operating system is typically locked; you forget about cracked apps and such, but you have stability and no lags. Camera differences are minor, except for the S24 Ultra's zoom. Since I was looking for a phone that I wouldn't have to charge three times a day, I made a good choice, and I play games. Oh, and some say it's not good for gaming, but there is no lag in games!!! And I play games like Solo Leveling

Coming from an iPhone XS Max, I can't say that in many applications it is much faster than what I had. It is a premium product but worth it only without VAT, which is how I got it. A lot of money in our difficult times today! Camera is super but not such a big difference from the XS Max

Nice smartphone from the top category but the 6.9-inch screen is slightly lower in resolution than other flagship models in the same price range! Also, the battery is very low with only 4685 mAh, while other smartphones have the new 6000 mAh. We hope the 17 Pro Max will fix the battery and charging issues!

The phone is top quality in specs BUT if you don't use it for professional purposes with editing and don't play demanding games on the phone, there's no reason to go for this. The price is high and half of the features that were presented to us are not available in Greece.
Το κινητό είναι top quality σε specs ΑΛΛΑ εάν δεν κάνεις επαγγελματική χρήση με editing και δεν παίζεις απαιτητικά παιχνίδια στο κινητό, δεν υπάρχει λόγος να πας σε αυτό. Η τιμή είναι υψηλή και τα μισά features που μας είχαν παρουσιάσει, δεν είναι διαθέσιμα στην Ελλάδα.
It definitely is Apple's flagship, but it certainly isn't worth the €1400. I believe that Android phones can offer similar features and feel at a lower purchase price.

In case you are wondering, of course it is not worth spending so much money on a phone, no matter how good it is supposed to be. Unfortunately, I can't go into much detail because I bought it for my wife, not for myself. If it matters, though, she is super satisfied with the device. (She came from an iPhone 12)
From the little I saw myself, the pros:
- It has excellent cameras, especially in video mode. Photos come out vibrant but balanced, but especially the videos are excellent in both tone and frame rate and smoothness.
- Excellent and large screen, good even outdoors.
- Strong battery that easily lasts the day. Nothing crazy, but considering its performance, it's good.
- Classic, but proven design. If you liked previous iPhones, you'll love this one too.
And the cons (or at least my complaints if not cons):
- Compared to previous models, I don't see big differences. If you're a generation or two behind, I wouldn't upgrade.
- The AI, which is much talked about, lags far behind the competitors' offerings.
- Although its screen is beautiful and high-refresh-rate, in most menus, it doesn't show. My own phone is smoother or snappier, how should I put it. I searched a lot, didn't find any wrong setting. It's noticeably smoother than the regular 16, but still, I expected it to be more buttery than it is.
- If you're an Android user, iOS is at least annoying. If you're already an iPhone user, then everything's fine. It's just that many things in its UI are strange to me.
- For its specs, I think it's overpriced.
Summary:
In general, I pushed my wife quite a bit to prefer something else, like the S25 Ultra, but since she wanted this, this is what we got. In short, it's an extremely good and extremely expensive phone. Δυστυχώς δεν μπορώ να μπω σε πολλές λεπτομέρειες διότι το αγόρασα για την σύζυγό μου, και όχι για μένα. Αν έχει κάποια σημασία όμως, η ίδια είναι υπερ-ευχαριστημένη με την συσκευή. (ήρθε απο iPhone 12)
Απο τα λίγα που είδα εγώ, στα υπέρ:
- Έχει εξαιρετικές κάμερες, ειδικά σε video mode.
Και οι φωτογραφίες βγαίνουν ζωντανές αλλά ισορροπημένες, αλλά ειδικά τα βίντεο είναι άριστα τόσο σε τόνο όσο και σε καρέ και smoothness.
- Εξαιρετική και μεγάλη οθόνη, καλή και σε εξωτερικό χώρο.
- Δυνατή μπαταρία που βγάζει την ημέρα άνετα. Όχι κάτι τρελό, αλλά αναλογιζόμενοι και τις επιδόσεις του, καλή είναι.
- Κλασσικό, αλλά proven design. Αν σου άρεσαν τα προηγούμενα iPhones, θα λατρέψεις και αυτό.
Και στα κατά (ή εστω τα παράπονά μου αν όχι κατά):
- Σε σχέση με τα προηγούμενα μοντέλα δεν παρατηρώ και μεγάλες διαφορές. Αν είσαι μια-δυο γενιές πίσω, εγώ δεν θα άλλαζα.
- Το AI για το οποίο γίνεται και πολύς ντόρος υστερεί πολύ σε σχέση με τις προτάσεις των αντιπάλων.
- Αν και η οθόνη του, είναι πανέμορφη, και high-refresh-rate, στα περισσότερα μενού, δεν φαίνεται. Το δικό μου κινητό είναι πιο smooth ή snappy, πως να το πω. Έψαξα αρκετά, δεν βρήκα κάποια ρύθμιση λάθος. Είναι νοητά πιο Smooth απο το απλό 16άρι, αλλά και πάλι το περίμενα πιο βούτυρο απ'οτι είναι.
- Αν είσαι χρήστης Android, το iOS είναι το λιγότερο, σπαστικό.
Αν πάλι είσαι ήδη χρήστης iPhone, τότε όλα καλά. Απλά εμένα με ξενίζουν πολλά πράγματα στο UI του.
- Για τα Specs του, εγώ θεωρώ πως είναι τσιμπημένο.
Σύνοψη:
Γενικά πίεσα αρκετά την σύζυγο να προτιμήσει κάτι άλλο, όπως πχ το S25 Ultra, αλλά αφού ήθελε αυτό, αυτό πήραμε.
Χωρίς πολλά λόγια, είναι εξαιρετικά καλό, και εξαιρετικά ακριβό κινητό. Αν έχετε συνηθίσει τα καλά του Android και είστε Advanced Users θα σας λείψουν πράγματα. Αν πάλι είστε Casual Instagram/Facebook/NBG Banking users, τότε είναι παραπάνω απο αρκετό. Το Hardware όπως είπα είναι πανίσχυρο, και οι κάμερες (για τους ιφλουέσερς :D) είναι KILLERS.
Όπως και να έχει, η επιλογή είναι δική σας.

For the 16 Pro Max, I had higher expectations in the year 2024. The camera cannot do more than x15 in video and can only do up to x25 zoom in photo mode, while other brands in previous models can do x100-x120. Other than that, they added the camera button, which is unnecessary. Anyone who has the 14-15 Pro and Pro Max should not even think about buying it; they will regret their money!

The battery health did not drop quickly even though I didn't take much care of it; in one year it went to 92% with 555 charging cycles, which in my opinion is fine for so long and so many charging cycles. iOS 26, even after so much time since its release, still has some minor issues that will be fully resolved over time. However, it is a very beautiful and elegant design with nice effects. Overall, apart from the battery, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
1 χρόνο χρησιμοποιώ αυτό το κινητό, είμαι από αυτούς που τα κραζανε μέχρι που το αγόρασα είναι μια εξαιρετική συσκευή και πανέμορφη ένα χρόνο το έχω και δεν το έχω βαρεθεί το κοιτάω συνέχεια και νιώθω συνεχώς ότι κρατάω ένα καινούριο κινητό σαν να το αγόρασα εχθές πράγμα που δεν το ένιωθα με τις παλαιότερες android συσκευές μου. Το camera control είναι αρκετά βολικό σε μερικές λήψεις αλλά και ταυτόχρονα όχι κάτι το ουαου σε θέμα χρησιμότητας αλλά είναι ενα + γιατί είναι το πρώτο κινητό που έχει το συγκεκριμένο κουμπί, Για τα χρήματα του όμως θα έπρεπε να είχε καλύτερη μπαταρία και να μην ζεσταινόταν τόσο πολύ, η κάμερα του είναι ότι καλύτερο ειδικά αν ξέρεις να την χρησιμοποιείς οι επιδώσεις του είναι πολύ καλές ο ήχος του είναι τέλειος και η οθόνη φανταστική, η υγεία της μπαταρίας του δεν έπεσε γρήγορα παρόλο που δεν το πρόσεχα και τόσο πολύ, μέσα σε ένα 1 χρόνο πήγε 92% με 555 κύκλους φόρτισης που κατά την γνώμη μου είναι μια χαρά για τόσο καιρό και τόσους κύκλους φόρτισης που έχω κάνει το iOS 26 αν και τόσο καιρό που έχει περάσει μετά την κυκλοφορία του εξακολουθεί να έχει κάποια προβληματάκια που με τον καιρό θα στρώσει πλήρως, πρόκειται όμως για ένα πολύ όμορφο και κομψό design με ωραία εφέ, γενικά πέρα από την μπαταρία είμαι πολύ ικανοποιημένος από την αγορά του.

I have been using an iPhone as an amateur since 2020, I don't know many of its functions. I am very satisfied as they are durable over the years. The iPhone 16 Pro Max is a beautiful phone on the outside, very carefully crafted with attention to detail and it doesn't lag. My eternal and biggest complaint and problem is their battery. It's unacceptable for such expensive phones with unattainable prices to have their battery decrease rapidly and dramatically within just a few months!

Το IPhone 16 pro max είναι πανέμορφο κινητό εξωτερικά,πολύ προσεγμένο με λεπτομέρεια και δεν κολλάει. Το αιώνιο και μεγαλύτερο μου παράπονο και πρόβλημα είναι η μπαταρία τους. Απαράδεκτο να είναι τόσο ακριβά κινητά με άπιαστες τιμές και η μπαταρία τους μέσα σε λίγους μήνες να μειώνεται ραγδαία και δραματικά!

I’ve had it in my hands for a day now with 89% battery health, and honestly, there’s a huge difference in terms of the speaker and battery life, even though I have Bluetooth on all day because I use an Apple Watch and often have mobile data on, it hasn’t heated up at all so far. The only negative for me is the size; in recent years I’ve been using Pro models and this one feels like a slipper in my hand, but otherwise it’s TOP. If you want good battery and speaker, I clearly recommend it without a second thought. As for the rest, I won’t say anything, it just flies…
Αρχικά να πω πως τελευταία τρία χρόνια το πάω σερί είχα το 16 pro από τότε που βγήκε ήμουν σε φάση ανάμεσα να το αλλάξω μ 17 pro max η 16 pro max λόγο μπαταρίας γτ δν κρατούσε κ ανέβαζε συνεχόμενα θερμοκρασία ότι κ να έκανα. Και επειδή ξέρω πως δν έχει μεγάλη διαφορά σ σχέση με το φετινό μοντέλο αλλά ούτε εμφανισιακά μ άρεσε είπα ας δοκιμάσω και το 16 pro max πως είναι κ βλέπουμε..
Το έχω εδώ και μια μέρα στα χέρια μ με υγεία μπαταρίας 89% μιλάμε έχει τρομερή διαφορά σ σχέση μ ηχείο και διάρκεια μπαταρίας παρόλο που έχω όλη μέρα ανοιχτά Bluetooth επειδή χρησιμοποιώ Apple Watch και πολλές φορές ανοιχτά δεδομένα ούτε έχει ανέβασει θερμοκρασία μέχρι στιγμής. Το μόνο αρνητικό για εμένα είναι το μέγεθος τα τελευταία χρόνια χρησιμοποιώ pro μοντέλα και μ έρχεται παντόφλα αυτό που έχω τώρα κατά τα άλλα είναι ΤΟΠ. Αν θέλετε καλή μπαταρία κ ηχείο ξεκάθαρα το συνιστώ χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη. Για τα υπόλοιπα δν θα πω τπτ απλά πετάει σφαίρα..

Πολλές φορές η οθόνη σκοτεινιάζει,δεν φαίνεται τίποτα και επανέρχεται μετά από δέκα λεπτά,η 30 λεπτά της ώρας,έτυχε και μετά από 12 ώρες.

From iPhone 14 Pro Max (which was very good)
I went to the 16, I supposedly upgraded, but unfortunately I was disappointed, the phone was noticeably slower than the 14, at first it was constantly lagging, I went to the service and they told me it would get better with an update, indeed it got a bit better, but it still feels heavy, like it's lazy to move.
The slightly bigger screen didn't suit me, the new camera interface is useless for me, it's had 2-3 freezes and the screen has blacked out, generally good photos, good screen but it's Apple, when you go from 14 to 16 you expect to see some difference, not to be running to the service.
After a few months I can say that the phone has improved with the updates, very good build quality, fast, perfect screen, but the button for the photo not even once... maybe if it was smaller in size or if someone has huge hands

Πήγα στο 16 έκανα αναβάθμιση υποτιθετε,αλλά δυστυχώς απογοητευτικά ,το κινητό ηταν αισθητά ποιο αργό από το 14 στην αρχή κόλλαγε συνέχεια,πήγα στο σέρβις με είπε αν θα γίνει καλύτερο με αναβάθμιση όντως έστρωσε λιγάκι ,αλλά πολύ βάρη σαν να βαριέται λίγο να κουνηθεί
Το ότι έχει λιγό μεγαλύτερη οθόνη εμένα δεν με βόλεψε ,το καινούργιο κουκπι της κάμερας εμένα δνε με βολεύει αχρηστο ,έχει κάνει 2/3’κοληματα και έχει μαυρίσει γενετικά καλές φωτό καλή οθηνη αλλά apple είναι όταν πας από 14 στο 16 περιμένεις να δεις κάποια διαφορά όχι να τρέχεις στο σέρβις.

Transition from S23 Ultra. First time getting an iPhone since everyone in my circle has one. I decided to try it.
I can say that I was late to switch to iPhone!
What I like most is its simplicity. My Galaxy was a mess, while the iPhone seems more organized, and I use the same apps. Additionally, some apps are designed differently—Letterboxd, Duolingo, Busuu, Goodreads—you notice differences for the better.
UPDATE
Unfortunately, they ruined it with the new update. iOS 18 was the best thing they ever released and one of the reasons I made the switch. iOS 26, on the other hand, is the Windows Vista of phones, with the so-called liquid glass which is literally a copy of Vista.
The battery is also affected; I end the day with ~20%.

Δυστυχώς με την νέα ενημέρωση το χάλασαν. Το iOS 18 ήταν ό,τι καλύτερο έβγαλαν ποτέ κι ένας λόγος που έκανα την μετάβαση. Το iOS 26 απ' την άλλη είναι τα windows vista των κινητών, με το υποτιθέμενο liquid glass που είναι αντιγραφή των vista, κυριολεκτικά.
Έχει επηρεαστεί και η μπαταρία, κλείνω την μέρα με ~20%.

Many of the positives mentioned by other users are true, but the battery is a big minus. It barely lasts a day with moderate use. When I had to use the personal hotspot for a week to have internet at home, it needed charging twice a day. Charging with the original Apple charger is very slow and the phone gets very hot during charging. The camera is very good but often has problematic focus in macro, for example in photos.
Πολλά τα θετικά που έχουν αναφερθεί από άλλους χρήστες, αλλά η μπαταρία ένα μεγάλο μείον. Με το ζόρι βγάζει τη μέρα με μέτρια χρήση. Όταν για μια βδομάδα χρειάστηκε να κάνω χρήση του προσωπικού hotspot για να έχω ίντερνετ σε σπίτι, ήθελε φόρτιση δύο φορές τη μέρα . Φόρτιση με γνήσιο φορτιστή της Apple πολύ αργή και το κινητό ζεσταίνεται πολύ κατά τη διάρκειά της. H κάμερα πολύ καλή αλλά συχνά προβληματική η εστίαση στο macro, παράδειγμα η φωτογραφία.
I had the 11 Pro Max before this, what a beast! The 16 Pro Max is on another level. I go to work in the morning and come back at noon with 98% battery, and at work I keep fiddling with it all the time. The speakers are in a class of their own. I’ve had the s25 ultra in my hands—NO COMPARISON. In general, whatever you look for, they’ve done it with such attention to detail that everything is flawless. Cameras? Honestly, I’m left speechless. The texture of objects in photos, for those who know, is above DSLR quality. An excellent phone that does everything perfectly no matter what you look for. You can’t find a negative no matter how hard you try. Now, is it worth the money? I got it for €1100. It could be cheaper, but man, the phone is an experience. I’ll keep it until it wears out.

Είχα πριν από αυτό το 11 Pro Max σκυλί! Το 16 pro max είναι άλλο επίπεδο. Πάω στην δουλειά πρωί και γυρνάω το μεσημέρι με 98% μπαταρία και στην δουλειά όλο κάθε λίγο το πειράζω. Τα ηχεία είναι μια κλάση από μόνα τους. Είχε περάσει από τα χέρια μου s25 ultra ΚΑΜΙΑ ΣΧΕΣΗ. Γενικά ότι και να ψάξεις το έχουν κάνει με τόσο προσοχή που είναι όλα άψογα. Κάμερες? Πραγματικά έχω μείνει με το στόμα ανοιχτό. Η υφή των αντικειμένων για όσους ξέρουν στις φωτογραφίες είναι πάνω από DSLR ποιότητα. Ένα άριστο κινητό που όπου και να το ψάξεις τα κάνει όλα άψογα. Δεν μπορείς να βρεις αρνητικό όσο και να ψάχνεσαι. Τώρα αξίζει τα λεφτά του? Εγώ το πήρα 1100€. Θα μπορούσε να είναι και φθηνότερο αλλά είναι εμπειρία ρε φίλε το κινητό. Θα το κρατήσω μέχρι να λιώσει.

I had all the iPhones, iPads, and iMacs until 2013. Around then, I felt that Apple was falling behind: small screens, big bezels. I made the switch to the Galaxy Note 3 and it really was night and day. I remember even friends with iPhones were impressed when they saw the Galaxy.
Since then I continued with Android: Galaxy S10+, and more recently the S23 Ultra. And now — back to iOS with the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
I knew what to expect.
My goal was to experience it using only Apple’s apps. No Google, no third-party at first. I wanted to see what Apple offers "out of the box."
The truth is that the iPhone has shortcomings and limitations:
The Translate app does not support Greek.
Apple Maps are practically useless in Greece.
There are quite a few small details and features missing — things considered standard on Android.
On the other hand, iOS has a "clean," beautiful, and homogeneous aesthetic. You feel that everything is perfectly tied together: hardware, software, animations, gestures. It’s a “cute” environment, almost playful but also professional at the same time.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s screen may be technically better, but on the iPhone everything looks more “beautiful,” due to the system’s design.
My personal opinion is that you can’t compare the two ecosystems just based on specs (camera, screen, battery, etc.). The iPhone has specific weaknesses, but also unique virtues. A good review should mention both.
Yes, the iPhone is also a Status Symbol. Like an expensive piece of clothing. That’s not a bad thing — when you spend that much money, it’s reasonable to want something that stands out. The Galaxy is recognizable, but more so by those who "know." The iPhone is recognized everywhere.
Ultimately, in flagships of this category, no one expects anything less than an excellent camera, sound, screen, and battery. What makes the difference is the overall experience, and there the iPhone 16 Pro Max has its own distinct identity — with its pros and cons.
About the price:
The iPhone is expensive — and often with less storage compared to Android devices in the same category. However, it holds its value. If you decide at some point to sell it to get the next model, resale is much easier and more profitable compared to other flagships.
Επιστροφή στην Apple μετά από χρόνια Android χρήσης.
Είχα όλα τα iPhone, iPad και iMac μέχρι το 2013. Κάπου εκεί ένιωσα ότι η Apple έμεινε πίσω: μικρές οθόνες, μεγάλα bezels. Έκανα τη μετάβαση στο Galaxy Note 3 και πραγματικά ήταν η μέρα με τη νύχτα. Θυμάμαι πως ακόμα και φίλοι με iPhone εντυπωσιάζονταν όταν έβλεπαν το Galaxy.
Έκτοτε συνέχισα με Android: Galaxy S10+, και πιο πρόσφατα το S23 Ultra. Και τώρα — επιστροφή στο iOS με το iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Ήξερα τι να περιμένω.
Σκοπός μου ήταν να ζήσω την εμπειρία μόνο με τις εφαρμογές της Apple. Καμία Google, κανένα third-party στην αρχή. Ήθελα να δω τι προσφέρει η Apple "out of the box".
Η αλήθεια είναι ότι το iPhone έχει ελλείψεις και περιορισμούς:
Η εφαρμογή Translate δεν υποστηρίζει ελληνικά.
Οι Χάρτες της Apple είναι πρακτικά άχρηστοι στην Ελλάδα.
Υπάρχουν αρκετές μικρές λεπτομέρειες και λειτουργίες που λείπουν — και που στο Android θεωρούνται δεδομένες.
Από την άλλη, το iOS έχει μια "καθαρή", όμορφη και ομοιογενή αισθητική. Νιώθεις ότι όλα είναι άψογα δεμένα μεταξύ τους: hardware, software, animations, gestures. Είναι ένα “cute” περιβάλλον, σχεδόν παιχνιδιάρικο αλλά και επαγγελματικό ταυτόχρονα.
Η οθόνη του Galaxy S25 Ultra μπορεί να είναι τεχνικά καλύτερη, αλλά στο iPhone όλα φαίνονται πιο “όμορφα”, λόγω του σχεδιασμού του συστήματος.
Η προσωπική μου άποψη είναι ότι δεν γίνεται να συγκρίνεις τα δύο οικοσυστήματα μόνο με βάση specs (κάμερα, οθόνη, μπαταρία κ.λπ.). Το iPhone έχει συγκεκριμένες αδυναμίες, αλλά και μοναδικές αρετές. Ένα καλό review πρέπει να τα λέει και τα δύο.
Ναι, το iPhone είναι και Status Symbol. Όπως και ένα ακριβό ρούχο. Δεν είναι κακό αυτό — όταν δίνεις τόσα χρήματα, είναι λογικό να θες κάτι που ξεχωρίζει. Το Galaxy είναι αναγνωρίσιμο, αλλά περισσότερο από όσους "ξέρουν". Το iPhone αναγνωρίζεται παντού.
Τελικά, στα flagship αυτής της κατηγορίας, κανείς δεν περιμένει κάτι λιγότερο από εξαιρετική κάμερα, ήχο, οθόνη και μπαταρία. Αυτό που κάνει τη διαφορά είναι η συνολική εμπειρία, και εκεί το iPhone 16 Pro Max έχει τη δική του ξεχωριστή ταυτότητα — με τα υπέρ του, και τα κατά του.
Σχετικά με την τιμή:
Το iPhone είναι ακριβό — και συχνά με λιγότερο αποθηκευτικό χώρο σε σύγκριση με Android συσκευές της ίδιας κατηγορίας. Όμως, κρατάει την αξία του. Αν αποφασίσεις κάποια στιγμή να το πουλήσεις για να πάρεις το επόμενο μοντέλο, η μεταπώληση είναι πολύ πιο εύκολη και αποδοτική σε σχέση με άλλες ναυαρχίδες.
The best phone on the market, I have nothing to say, flawless, no lags, whatever app or game I threw at it, it ran them smoothly. If someone can afford it or can get it tax-free, they should do it in my opinion.

Former owner of S24 Ultra, it's like night and day in terms of battery life, both new. Battery management like the iPhone is unmatched, and it still hasn't learned my usage pattern. The iPhone's operating system is typically locked; you forget about cracked apps and such, but you have stability and no lags. Camera differences are minor, except for the S24 Ultra's zoom. Since I was looking for a phone that I wouldn't have to charge three times a day, I made a good choice, and I play games. Oh, and some say it's not good for gaming, but there is no lag in games!!! Coming from an iPhone XS Max, I can't say that in many applications it is much faster than what I had. It is a premium product but worth it only without VAT, which is how I got it. A lot of money in our difficult times today! Camera is super but not such a big difference from the XS Max

Also, the battery is very low with only 4685 mAh, while other smartphones have the new 6000 mAh. We hope the 17 Pro Max will fix the battery and charging issues!

The phone is top quality in specs BUT if you don't use it for professional purposes with editing and don't play demanding games on the phone, there's no reason to go for this. The price is high and half of the features that were presented to us are not available in Greece.
