Description

An excellent quality substrate for Lithops and Pleiospilos plants, without any peat or soil. It promotes healthy root growth.

Composition:

  • Activated carbon
  • Worm castings
  • Perlite
  • Lava gravel
  • Pumice

How to Use: Using the mix is easy! Start by removing as much of the old soil as possible. Gently squeeze the pot holding it on its side to loosen the plant. Run the roots under tap water to remove the last pieces of soil. Also, make sure to remove any dead foliage that may still be on the plant using scissors.

Now your plant is ready for fresh Lithops Mix. Add a small layer of the mix to the bottom of the pot. Place the plant in the pot and slowly add Lithops soil to the sides to fill. Ensure that the point where the roots meet the plant is below the substrate. Tap the Lithops mix lightly into the pot. Water well after repotting.

Care Tips: Lithops require very little water and nutrients. It is recommended to water lithops once a month in summer and to stop watering completely around the start of winter. A good indication is if the lithops start to wrinkle, meaning they are ready for another watering.

They need a lot of light, but the heat of the sun can cause burns and damage to their foliage.
