With a 6.5 mm drill bit I struggled to make 6 holes 10 centimeters deep in concrete, I changed two Makita batteries, the drill bit was branded, almost new, I tried to do it with a new 10 mm one... I threw it in the fields, luckily it wasn't in cement ??? okay, 2 joules but so weak, what can I say

The machine is heavy compared to DeWalt, the same weight as Milwaukee, and a bit heavier than Bosch. It has a well-balanced grip so if you use it for a while you don't feel the weight. It drills better than DeWalt even though it has fewer joules, it drills with fewer revolutions and with much less vibration. For chiseling, if you want slow and steady, you prefer DeWalt. I've had it for 4 years, it drills like the first day, it chisels small jobs easily, it doesn't break down and of course, it doesn't emit clouds of dust from the fan when strained like the DeWalt does. If you don't have the Makita series, you definitely wouldn't get this rotary hammer. On the negative side, it has carbon brushes (they are very easy to change), it doesn't accept a suction system, and of course, it's heavy, close to 3.5 kg. You could also call it "dead" with 2j. I think the 243 brushless, which also accepts a suction system, is a better choice.

    Beast, unstoppable!!
just keep in mind the half kilo of the 5Ah battery, we're at 3.8kg, it's borderline heavy for holes in the ceiling. of course, it drills an 8mm plug at a depth of 5cm in 3-4 seconds, a lot of impact. workout for the shoulders!!!

To restore the truth because I commented negatively...the machine is good, it wasn't working properly due to a defective battery.. With a new battery, it is as it should be, ready for use but it remains off-center, you will have issues with drilling tiles... Overall, it is good.

Work tool kids! Light as well as very powerful for a battery-powered machine!
No need to rev up to start hitting, as soon as you press the trigger it hits immediately! Especially when you are on a ladder, it frees your hands. A friend of mine worked with it and gave up a Dewalt equivalent.. For me, it's an investment, not a purchase! Of course, I have several other tools from the LXT 18V series and I have plenty of batteries to work with. It is very pleasant to work with such a well-made and well-balanced tool!! It should not be missing from a professional but also from an amateur!!
It's worth every euro!! I will buy another one!!

the best in battery hammer drills, accuracy, durability, I can't estimate how many thousands of holes in concrete, as long as you have batteries you can work all day, also very good as a chisel since we tried to burn it out and it wouldn't break, of course we bought two more. dhr202 with brushes.. and I come back again to my old comment today on 27/7/2025 and the Makita keeps working non-stop.

This review is about the contents kit: 2x4Ah with Hard Case

Equivalent to a corresponding power. But for example, in a 20mm hole in a solid monoblock 30cm, it consumed three 5 Ah batteries and several hours. For small tasks (holes for screws and small holes in walls and concrete), it is excellent. For more difficult tasks, it needs a larger one, just like you would need with electricity. Convenient and lightweight, with one battery, you can always have it with you.

, the tool is worth every penny. I got it along with a bonus 3-amp battery and charger. I believe it needs a slightly more powerful battery, depending on the usage of course. For example, it drilled 20 holes in concrete with an 18mm drill bit and drained one battery. Since I already had other batteries due to owning a Makita set with a screwdriver and drill, I didn't have any issues. It's a perfect purchase for those who already have Makita sets. However, for someone else, one battery is not enough. I am completely satisfied.

Quality construction from edge to edge.
Once you hold it in your hand, you don't want to let it go.
    I could drill all day.
Very satisfied, it's better than I expected.
And the store had excellent service and fast shipping and a good price.
It came with a free 3A lithium battery and charger.
    I also bought a second 5A battery.
The 5A battery was empty and it charged in just 45 minutes, maybe even less.
It also has something I've never seen in a similar tool.
Whoever gets it will see that as soon as you attach the battery, it plays on top of the drill's base. Actually, it moves, the whole base with the battery, but don't think it's loose or broken, because it's not.
Reading the manual, I learned that it has anti-vibration protection.
That's how good tools are, they have innovations!
    Buy it without fear!

This review is about the contents kit: Solo with Hard Case

, the tool is worth every penny.

  • With a 6.5 mm drill bit I struggled to make 6 holes 10 centimeters deep in concrete, I changed two Makita batteries, the drill bit was branded, almost new, I tried to do it with a new 10 mm one... I threw it in the fields, luckily it wasn't in cement ??? okay, 2 joules but so weak, what can I say

  • The machine is heavy compared to DeWalt, the same weight as Milwaukee, and a bit heavier than Bosch.

  • Beast, unstoppable!!
just keep in mind the half kilo of the 5Ah battery, we're at 3.8kg, it's borderline heavy for holes in the ceiling. of course, it drills an 8mm plug at a depth of 5cm in 3-4 seconds, a lot of impact. workout for the shoulders!!!

  • To restore the truth because I commented negatively...the machine is good, it wasn't working properly due to a defective battery.. With a new battery, it is as it should be, ready for use but it remains off-center, you will have issues with drilling tiles... Overall, it is good.

  • Work tool kids!
