Which general will manage to bring down the enemy and remain standing among the ruins of battle? Strategy, accuracy, and cunning will determine the final winner in this showdown to the very end.

If you ever played the old game from the 80s... it has nothing to do with it. Very few pieces to build your castles and almost impossible for an adult to knock them down, let alone a child. The projectiles are few and so light that they don't have the necessary power to demolish the structures. If you absolutely must play castles and siege engines, find the old used version.

I believe that the game is underrated due to the comparison made with the old version of the game. Nowadays, it is a game that deserves 5 stars and keeps the interest and excitement of the little ones, who ask to play again and again. Also, if you want to make it more challenging, increase the distances between the targets.

Unfortunately, nothing like the game we used to play as kids. Poor quality, and the weapons, especially the crossbow, don't shoot at all. A waste of money, I was happy to get it for the little one but we couldn't play for more than 10 minutes, very frustrating

  • It slightly reminds me of the corresponding board game from 1989-1991, but it's enough for a dose of nostalgia.

I am old school and this used to be our game. Today's version is completely flimsy plastic and there are very few pieces in the package. On its own, it doesn't keep you entertained for more than 15 minutes. And I haven't found any extra pieces if you want to add to the game. Boring!!!

Without wanting to diminish this game, which is somewhat good but poor in materials and quantity, the old Castles and Siege games were masterpieces of board games even today. I had it twice along with the big siege and we used to play for 3 hours each time, filling the room with projectiles!!! I hope the same company brings it back and it becomes a hit, everyone is waiting for it!!!!!!

It is not of course like the old one but it comes a bit close, very simple with 10 castle-brick pieces, 5-6 little soldiers and the door on the castle has no mechanism etc etc, just a door that falls with a little shake

The kids who played it enjoyed it, but the adults who were with them were disappointed. Much inferior to the version we grew up with in the 80s. The 'slingshot' is unacceptable and the bricks are too few to build something nice. If the old version were released, I would buy it without question.

Easy and fun game, with a relatively short completion time for each round. The kids loved it from the very first moment. The miniatures are quite good, and the "weapons" are relatively easy to use, although some players may need a little familiarization. The wall pieces are lightweight, so they can be knocked down more easily and perhaps even spectacularly. The rules are very simple, and the instruction book even includes "rulers" to help calculate distances when setting up the game. A downside is that there are few pieces for the walls. If there were more and perhaps different ones, each round could last longer, but there would also be greater flexibility in how each player builds their wall. In any case, it is a quite good and very affordable game that can be set up and played easily and quickly.

Just the memories it awakened in me are enough for the 5 stars.
It's not like the equivalent from the 80s-90s, neither in the quantity of pieces nor in construction (for example, they no longer need rubber bands), nor are there currently any expansions for the game.
Nevertheless, it is very fun and in terms of quality, I would say it's well-made; time will tell.

This version disappointed me! Mediocre in every way! Build quality, the crossbows are unacceptable, good construction only for the catapults and the figures, but the projectiles are very light and indeed very few, only 6! Generally, for the 30 euros it costs, they could easily have at least better crossbows and more projectiles! Much better is the game Catapults and Castles or otherwise Catapult Feud in everything, which I actually bought for just 23 euros on sale!!!

Nice game. It reminds me of the old one but is quite different from it. On the positive side, the ramp that adjusts the launch angle; on the negative side, the ground "bow" which (probably for ecological reasons) does not have a rubber band, so a strong launch is quite difficult.

My children, a 9-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter, are excitedly playing almost every day... of course, together with dad! We are also waiting for any expansions at some point. Because I played the classic Castles and Besiegers 35 years ago, I consider this one slightly inferior. Maybe it's because in the 80s it was an oasis compared to other board games, and now the kids literally have everything! They can't enjoy them! The pieces, the catapults, the soldiers, etc., are of good quality... but I believe it doesn't compare to the variety of the original game.

Coming from the Kickstarter process and based on the legendary Castles and Catapults that came to our country in 1983 from El Greco, you buy it just for the name if you played the old one. Of course, it has no connection to what you remember, but for a small child, it seems interesting. I hope the expansion packs will come to Greece as well. A detailed presentation, comparison with the old one, and gameplay with my three-year-old son in the link below! Also, make sure to subscribe if you liked it :)

Very nice game, that awakens beautiful memories, for those who played it back in the 80's. It is not as big as it was then, nor does it have the extras that existed (Trojan horse, battering ram, etc.), but it is very enjoyable.

Respectable construction and pieces for their price, definitely not as many pieces as the original, but for the price, it's very fair.

It's not like the original, but it's quite decent. Good quality materials and the idea of ramps without rubber bands is very nice!

  • poor game, bad quality plastics, few figures, few weapons, minimal ammunition, few characters, small and fake castles, no board, no interest... generally little. classic AS

  • I believe that the game is underrated due to the comparison made with the old version of the game. Nowadays, it is a game that deserves 5 stars and keeps the interest and excitement of the little ones, who ask to play again and again. Also, if you want to make it more challenging, increase the distances between the targets.

  • Unfortunately, nothing like the game we used to play as kids.
