The sensor works correctly but with specific rules. That's why some people may be disappointed.
I have 5 of them connected to a Sonoff ZB Bridge-P and they all work as expected.
After some experimentation, I came up with the following 5 rules:
1. When the sensor detects motion, it sends a "motion detected" signal and instantly lights up a red light on the sensor.
2. As long as the motion remains, the sensor "sees" it but, be careful, it does not send a new signal. Even if the motion continues for hours, the sensor will "see" it but will not send a new signal.
(This is very convenient for me because I installed a sensor to turn on the kitchen countertop lights. As long as there is motion in the kitchen, the lights stay on.)
3. If the motion stops but returns within less than 1 minute (e.g. I leave the kitchen and return after 50 seconds), then the sensor remains in the initial "motion detected" state and does not send a new signal.
4. If the motion stops or if the sensor does not detect it for 1 minute, then it sends a "no motion detected" signal and instantly lights up a red light on the sensor. As long as it does not "see" motion, be careful, it does not send a new signal.
5. From the moment it sends a "no motion detected" signal until it can detect motion again, be careful, approximately 5 seconds must pass. Once it detects motion, we return to rule 1.
The problems start if we use a "delay" function.
I'll give an example where the sensor will work correctly but it will appear as if it is not working correctly.
We set up a sensor to turn on the kitchen lights and create a routine "scene" where we add a 5-minute delay and then the lights turn off.
We enter the kitchen and the lights turn on normally.
However, as soon as the 5 minutes pass, the lights will turn off even if we are still in the kitchen.
This happens because the sensor has "locked" in the "motion detected" state and does not send a new signal (rule 2). But the routine is running and does not refresh as long as someone is in the kitchen, so as soon as the 5 minutes pass, the lights will turn off. And if they turn off, no matter how much motion we make, they will not turn on and it seems like the sensor is not responding. However, it is functioning correctly according to rule 2.
Therefore, it is advisable to avoid using "delay" functions.
Ο αισθητήρας δουλεύει σωστά αλλά με συγκεκριμένους κανόνες. Για αυτό κάποιοι μπορεί να έχουν απογοητευτεί.
Έχω 5 από αυτούς που είναι συνδεμένοι με ένα Sonoff ZB Bridge-P και όλοι λειτουργούν σύμφωνα με τα προβλεπόμενα.
Μετά από πειραματισμούς κατέληξα στους εξής 5 κανόνες:
1. Όταν ο αισθητήρας ανιχνεύσει κίνηση στέλνει σήμα "motion detected" και ανάβει στιγμιαία ένα κόκκινο φωτάκι στον αισθητήρα.
2. Όσο η κίνηση παραμένει ο αισθητήρας την "βλέπει" αλλά, προσοχή, δεν στέλνει νέο σήμα. Ακόμα και αν η κίνηση παραμείνει για ώρες, ο αισθητήρας θα την "βλέπει" αλλά δεν θα στείλει νέο σήμα.
(Αυτό είναι πολύ βολικό για εμένα, διότι έβαλα έναν αισθητήρα για να ανάβουν τα φώτα πάγκου της κουζίνας. Όσο υπάρχει κίνηση μέσα στην κουζίνα τα φώτα μένουν ανάμενα.)
3. Αν η κίνηση σταματήσει αλλά σε λιγότερο από 1 λεπτό επανέλθει (πχ βγαίνω από την κουζίνα και μετά από 50 δεύτερα επιστρέφω) τότε ο αισθητήρας παραμένει στην αρχική κατάσταση "motion detected" και δεν στέλνει νέο σήμα.
4. Αν η κίνηση σταματήσει ή αν ο αισθητήρας δεν την ανιχνεύσει για 1 λεπτό, τότε στέλνει σήμα "no motion detected" και ανάβει στιγμιαία ένα κόκκινο φωτάκι στο αισθητήρα. Όσο δεν "βλέπει" κίνηση, προσοχή, δεν στέλνει νέο σήμα.
5. Από την στιγμή που θα εκπέμψει σήμα "no motion detected" μέχρι την στιγμή που μπορεί να ανιχνεύσει κίνηση ξανά, προσοχή, πρέπει να περάσουν περίπου 5 δεύτερα.
Μόλις ανιχνεύσει κίνηση τότε επιστρέφουμε πάλι στον κανόνα 1.
Τα προβλήματα ξεκινούν αν βάλουμε χρονοκαθυστέρηση "delay".
Αναφέρω ένα παράδειγμα που ο αισθητήρας θα δουλέψει σωστά, αλλά θα φανεί σαν να μην λειτουργεί σωστά.
Βάζουμε έναν αισθητήρα να ανάβει τα φώτα της κουζίνας και φτιάχνουμε μία ρουτίνα "scene" στην οποία προσθέτουμε delay 5 λεπτά και μετά τα φώτα να σβήσουν.
Μπαίνουμε κουζίνα και τα φώτα ανάβουν κανονικά.
Μόλις όμως περάσουν τα 5 λεπτά τα φώτα θα σβήσουν ακόμα και αν είμαστε μέσα στην κουζίνα.
Αυτό γίνεται διότι γιατί ο αισθητήρας έχει "κλειδώσει" στην κατάσταση "motion detected" και δεν στέλνει νέο σήμα (κανόνας 2). Όμως η ρουτίνα τρέχει και δεν ανανεώνεται όσο βρίσκεται κάποιος στην κουζίνα, οπότε μόλις περάσουν τα 5 λεπτά τα φώτα θα σβήσουν. Και αν σβήσουν ότι κίνηση και να κάνουμε δεν πρόκειται να ανάψουν και φαίνεται ότι ο αισθητήρας δεν ανταποκρίνεται.
Αυτός όμως λειτουργεί κανονικά σύμφωνα με τον κανόνα 2.
Οπότε καλό είναι να αποφεύγονται οι χρονοκαθυστερήσεις "delay".
