In 1817, during a mission to the North Pole, Robert Walton encounters a mysterious individual floating on a piece of ice. This man is none other than Victor Frankenstein, a scientist with a tragic destiny who managed to give life to a creature made from pieces of corpses. Junji Ito reexamines Mary Shelley's iconic work in this faithful and frightening adaptation of a text that lays the foundations of the Gothic novel.
Also find ten stories by the master of horror, including six tales by Oshikiri, a silent young high school student living in a huge mansion that has become the stage for increasingly terrifying supernatural phenomena. The master of horror revisits one of the masterpieces of literature: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein!
This edition includes a preface by Joann Sfar (Donjon, Le Chat du Rabbin, Petit Vampire...) and an analysis at the end of the book by Morolian, a French-speaking expert on the author. This work, which contains many additional elements, is part of a large, carefully crafted collection specially dedicated to the master of horror.
