It does not have an app or any kind of control from a mobile phone. All control is done exclusively manually. In addition, it does not allow changing the shades (2700K / 4000K / 6500K) offered by the lamp (Trio Lighting LED Floor Lamp with Adjustable White Light 1900lm Black); it only adjusts the brightness.
However, after several hours of continuous operation (rarely, but it happens), the dimmer heats up and the lamp suddenly turns off. As soon as it cools down, it works normally again. The problem is not due to the lamp, but to the dimmer itself.
For occasional use, it is an economical solution. But if you want control from your phone or the ability to change color temperature, it does not meet those needs.
Overall, it does the basic job of brightness adjustment, but the lack of an app, the inability to change shades, and the tendency to overheat take away stars from it.
