The blue Pearl color is a new addition to the main Blackwing pencil lineup. Each pencil contains the same balanced and smooth graphite found in the other Pearl pencils. It is softer than the graphite found in Blackwing 602 but more stable than the graphite found in Blackwing Matte, which is a favorite among calligraphers and illustrators.
