The board game Andromeda's Edge is a sci-fi game in which players lead a faction seeking to build a new civilization on the edge of the Andromeda Galaxy. With their spaceships, they collect resources from planetary systems, claim moons, acquire modules for their space station, and develop planets. When an area is occupied by rivals or raiders, players engage in a dice battle, where the upper hand can change the outcome.
Players take turns launching spaceships and returning them to their station, where they activate its engine and use the modules they have acquired to generate energy, gain resources, and take actions. Development includes Observatories, Factories, Spaceports, Cities, and Obelisks, while progress on the Science, Industry, Trade, Culture, and Supremacy tracks is rewarded during and at the end of the game.
