Self-adhesive, soft, and lightweight thermoacoustic material based on foam rubber (synthetic rubber) with a combination of closed cells of various shapes and sizes. This design combines seemingly contradictory properties. That is, it effectively absorbs and reduces noise (which is usually characteristic of open-cell polyurethane materials that absorb water) and at the same time provides a very high level of sound and thermal insulation, maintains full moisture resistance, and repels water. Thanks to these properties, CTK Elastic is one of the most efficient materials on the market for thermal and sound insulation of car bodies and industrial equipment (cars, air conditioners, machinery, etc.).
The self-adhesive mats based on flexible foam rubber can be easily installed on surfaces with flat or uneven surfaces (avoid strongly curved edges, "silicone" plastics, and rough surfaces). In the car, they are mainly intended for internal use as effective thermal insulators that prevent excessive heating or cooling of the car's interior and, above all, as very effective acoustic barriers, protecting the car's interior from external noise (wheels, engine, etc.).
Due to its oil-resistant and waterproof properties, this material can be adhered to most internal or external metal parts of the car, for example, on the floor, roof, inner and outer wheel arches, and inside the trunk. The special structure, high elasticity, and moisture resistance also make CTK Elastic effective under the car floor as a material that silences and blocks road noise.
To achieve the best result, it is recommended to use this product together with self-adhesive aluminum-butyl layers, used for damping vibrations and resonances (CTK Elastic thermoacoustic foam should be applied as a second layer on body elements, with aluminum vibration-damping material as the first layer). The product is not recommended for insulating door panels or surfaces made of similar plastic upholstery elements.
