It can also be used for drilling in metals (with appropriate drill bits). The rotary hammer also allows for non-impact drilling in wood, ceramics, and metals according to technical specifications.

The DEDRA DED7839 rotary hammer features electro-pneumatic impact and can be used for cutting as well as a demolition tool in combination with SDS chisels.
