Description

Vitamin D functions as a hormone, and every cell membrane in the body has receptors for it. The human body produces it from cholesterol when the skin is exposed to sunlight. However, sunscreen products, protective clothing, limited sun exposure, dark skin, and age can make it difficult to obtain adequate vitamin D from the sun. It is also found in certain foods, such as fatty fish and fortified dairy products, although it is very difficult to get enough from diet alone. The recommended daily intake (NRV) ranges around 400-800 IU, but many experts suggest even higher intake. Vitamin D deficiency is very common, especially in northern countries.

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function and the normal function of the immune system.

How to take: Take 1 tablet daily with food.
