Description

ICM: Sikorsky CH-54A Tarhe, US Heavy Helicopter (100% new molds) at 1:35 scale.

The Sikorsky CH-54 (also known as: S-64) was and still is an American twin-engine flying crane with a metal semi-monocoque structure in a classic layout with a main rotor and tail rotor on the boom.

Propulsion is provided by two JFTD-12A engines with a power of 4834 HP each. The first prototype flight took place in 1962 and serial production began in 1969 - in the case of the civil version - and continues to this day.

It is estimated that about 105 copies of the helicopter itself were built. The Sikorsky CH-54 was created as a result of the U.S. Army's requirement for a heavy transport helicopter capable of operating in difficult conditions.

During the serial production, only three development versions of this machine were created. The first was a prototype series called YCH-54A. The first production series were machines called CH-54A.
