The ETIMAT10 1P C 10A 10kA AC overload switch is a basic safety automation device used to limit the effects in cases of short circuits and overloads in the electrical installation. The current flow exceeding the switch's nominal value causes its release and the interruption of the powered circuit. This function aims to protect devices and installations from damage, protect individuals from electric shock, and ultimately prevent fire.
Due to its characteristics, it is often used in residential electrical installations to protect lighting circuits, sockets, and management. The construction of the switches allows for the installation of additional equipment, such as auxiliary contacts, which facilitates remote signaling of the device's operation.
