I agree with the comments of several people here. It does not produce fine powder (only coarse grounds). Not for espresso. Is it possible that it is defective?
It replaced an old Krups grinder that was excellent. I was disappointed because I have DeLonghi products and they were/are always reliable. The only positive is that it is not as noisy as the Krups.

You need to do the known hack to have satisfactory results. I have done it superfine, even grinding Greek coffee!
When you remove the gear with the knife locked, you turn the central wheel step by step, you pass a screwdriver between the knives and turn the lower knife. If it doesn't turn, it means it has finished. Laskaris a little until you hear that the knives are not touching, leave it there and lock the gear.
Do not try to unlock the knife at the end fine because it may change the position of the gear.

Sturdy construction, metallic finish that fits comfortably in expensive and stylish kitchens, a jewel for the countertop. I use the grinder for grinding coffee and using it with the Bialetti Moka Express Limited Edition, the coffee comes out wonderful. I have tested different grind settings but right in the middle is the perfect grind for a tasty and aromatic cup of coffee. In combination with a good coffee blend, you can work wonders.

For French and mocha (espresso in a briki) it is perfect.
With cheap ones with pressurized baskets, it does the job.
For good espresso machines, forget about it, go for a Graef at least.
Although I find it silly for someone with a 500€ machine to look for a grinder at this price.
A major drawback is the static electricity that causes the coffee to stick everywhere in the container.

I consider it the best you can find for this price! Good build quality, practical and easy to use. It has two wheels. With one, you adjust the grind size and with the other, the quantity of coffee it grinds. The minimum is 2, which produces about 14g of coffee.
Of course, it is very important to mention that in order to get a fine espresso, you must definitely make the necessary conversion with the KG79, otherwise it will come out even coarser even on the finest scale.
If your hands can't handle it, it's better to avoid it.
In closing, I would like to mention that the grinder is obviously for beginners, as the settings are very few, so in general, I would recommend saving money and going for a stepless grinder. Unfortunately, espresso is an expensive hobby...

The best for its price, very good coffee grinding and fine enough for espresso, very easy to clean, the only downside is that there are no spare parts for repair other than its peripherals, if something breaks inside the mechanism in the gears it cannot be fixed, but for this price I don't think there is anything better than this one
