The Peloponnesian War has ended, and the defeated Athens is trying to recover. The citizens, disappointed and angry, are bored with participating in public affairs, focusing only on their private matters or engaging in the Assembly, which makes decisions on all issues just to secure financial compensation.

As a result, the decisions of the assembly are becoming increasingly absurd. The women, who are not allowed to have a public opinion or vote, decide to change the situation. They conspire, steal their husbands' clothes, disguise themselves, and try to enter the assembly to gain power, envisioning a future for all based on equality and justice.
