I have done several winter hikes, I went to Gkiona under normal conditions, however, in front of my toes, I have already changed one nail and now it hit my other foot.
Purchased in January 2023 (almost 2 years).
I don't know, they have tremendous wear for the 90+ kilos I have reached, however, I take care of my steps and generally don't step anywhere.
As for the sole, it doesn't slip compared to the previous ones, except in mud where it hardly grips at all.
I bought them for about €150 and this year, for example, I was looking at the La Sportiva Aequilibrium (something like that, I'm too lazy to look it up).
Overall, I have done 8 hikes and just put them back in their box and noticed some wear.
They are all on mountains and some on rocky terrain.
For €40 more, you get shoes with a VIBRAM sole (it's the best) and much better insulation.
The other day at -7 with snow, my toes froze.
You need double socks and they have to fit you exactly, but that doesn't mean they won't hurt you.
In general, an average boot that is suitable for March-October due to the Gore-Tex lining, which means it doesn't let water in.
I tried it and indeed it passes through streams easily.
In deeper water, it will let water in because it will go completely into the river.
Time will tell, and I hope they last until I get the others and have these as a backup.

Well, good morning from me too. I made the purchase almost 2 months ago, and I have to say the following: although it's not very comfortable at first when you put it on, after a few steps it exceeds expectations. In the snow, it doesn't slip at all, and in general, it doesn't slide much compared to other similar shoes used for ice skating. However, when it comes to waterproofing, on the third day, in 2 inches of water on the terrace, literally 2 inches of water, I had to dry the inside. A little water passed through above the laces at their lower level, and I felt moisture. And the worst part was just 2 days ago at work, in a still and running water area, after a while, I felt moisture on my heel, and quite a lot of it. When I got home, I realized they were soaked. Luckily, they dry easily and ventilate even more easily. That's the reason for the few stars.

A few days ago, in damp grass, they got completely soaked. It seems they are more suitable for dry weather rather than wet conditions in general.

In the end, as comfortable as they are and as easily as they don't slip, it turns out they are only suitable for dry weather and not even for light rain. In a humid area, my foot got soaked.

I bought them for hiking. Although they are my size and I have narrow feet, they were very tight from the first moment and squeezed me a lot on both sides in the center of the shoe (exactly where the black toe cap is and there is a triangle towards the laces in the design). After many kilometers, they slightly loosened up and are satisfactory, although I still feel some kind of pressure there. The worst part, however, was when parts of the tractor-like teeth on the sole started to break off from the very first hike. After only 4 trails, I lost 3.5 teeth on one shoe and 2.5 on the other... Really a shame, because I loved the shoe from the very beginning, aesthetically!

*** UPDATE: After 1 year of regular use on tough terrain, rocks, trails, or without trails, the sole needs replacement, many teeth have been broken and damaged, and the seams on both shoes have opened. It's a stable shoe, it holds the foot very securely and the ankle as well, and it's very lightweight for a hiking boot, but that's about it. I think overall it's not worth its money.

Very good shoes, I prefer them, they are worth it and can be used in snow, for hunting, hiking, or walking even in the city if it has rained a lot. Awesome in their category. I wear them in the mountains and they fully satisfy me. They help a lot in carrying heavy things like backpacks, so they are backpacking shoes. They are not for extremely low temperatures, e.g. -17 degrees. They are also for snow but not so cold. Of course, they can be worn with very warm socks and be okay at -17 degrees. If someone wants them for extreme cold and polar temperatures, they should not get them. I recommend Salomon tundra pro or Salomon Chalten ts cswp, which have fur inside and are thermal, they hold very cold and you won't feel anything in the snow.

After a hike in the mountains, I want to add something:
Although they seem inflexible and hard, they suited me very well and were not as I imagined, meaning that they would be very heavy and difficult. They don't tire you, they offer great support, they don't slip at all on soil and rocks (I tested it on a cliff), and I would say that running with them is not difficult at all as I thought.
