As the friend says, it is not plug and play, you need to change the setting on the PlayStation first for it to work, and its clarity is worse than the original.

It's not really plug and play.
Before you connect it, you first need to go to the settings of the PS2 and change the Component Video Out from RGB to Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr.

Then, for this to work, the adapter needs to be powered by connecting the cable it provides to the USB ports of the PS2.

None of this was mentioned in the instructions that came with it, and it didn't say at all that you need to connect the micro USB cable to USB on the PS2; it just said to connect an HDMI cable and you would be good to go, which is a simple lie.

Now, since it is connected correctly, the picture is very good, clear, and there is no delay at all. It works just fine.

As soon as you change some settings in the picture through the PS2, it really works best and is useful. I have connected it to an LG 4K Smart ULH, and it has a better picture

It does what it's supposed to do, you connect it to the PlayStation instead of the classic cable (3 wires). And then you connect the HDMI on top, it works 100% and I believe it's the best you can get in terms of sound and image

  • It does its job. In my case, it doesn't need to be connected to power (usb).
