The history of Panagiotopoulos Estate in Messinia began in 1982 when Dimitris Panagiotopoulos, along with his father, decided to fulfill his dream, culminating in the creation of the winery in 2005. Today, the vineyard covers an area of 150 acres and is cultivated exclusively organically, with the sole purpose of achieving a high level of quality and highlighting the uniqueness of the region.
The new premium labels of Panagiotopoulos Estate with red cosmopolitan varieties present exceptional interest both from the rich aromatic bouquet and the complexity of flavors resulting from the long aging in oak barrels. It is worth noting that the labels are released with the indication P.G.I. Trifylia, which is the most important vine-growing zone in Messinia, mainly due to the successful cultivation of foreign red varieties.
The new innovation of the Estate is the Tomos series, where the 3 French varieties (Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon) are bottled, coming only from organically cultivated vineyards, standing out from the Estate's respective labels. The Merlot Tomos II 2014 continues the series with French red varieties from the Estate's organic vineyards, offering us a rich, aromatic, flavorful wine with interesting aging potential.
